my topscore fluctuated around 20s.

my ahiever score is

bio / gchem / ochem / pat / RC / QR
20 / 19 / 19 / 17 / 19 / 21
18 / 18 / 18 / x / x / 22
18 / 19 / 21 / 17 / 18 / 20

1)how close is reading comprehension on ahiever compare to real?
(I have friends who scored <18 on achiever throuhtoutly and score 15 on real😱 and they complained actual test has more paragraphs.. but he managed to get in NYU this year👍)

2)what about QR? QR in achiever looks pretty easy, how's it compared to real? (I hear people saying 1/3 of qs are prob on recent dat but there aren't that much source to practice.. is there any good link to practice prob?)

3)people say that ochem/gchem on real test is much easier than the topscore or achiever like u will know the answer without hesitiation because choices are obvious..

what's the myth behind it?

4)people who took dat recently says there's are more lab application quesion(?)
I never took lab, and barely know the lab stuffs, I do not get what it means by lab application qs.. can someone give me example?

5)any last advice from people who took the dat recently?

6) how sharp is the marker... I practiced with ultra-fine.. but..?

1. The real one has more touchy-feely questions...what is infered, what would the author agree with, etc.

2. QR on real is comparable but with a lot of word problems. I scored higher on Achiever by 2 points, FWIW.

3. I though OChem was easy, very conceptual and few rxns. GChem had few calculations, but the ones it did have were kind of tricky IMO.

4. Can't think of an example, just try to think of how an experimenter would prove a certain process. A lot of them were just basic lab techniques you'd learn in an intro bio lab like chromatography, gel electrophoresis (not on my test, just an example).

5. Take all your practice tests as if they were the real deal, review your notes in the last couple of days before the real thing, and RELAX!

6. I had a fine sharpie, a soft eraser, and 2 sheets of yellow laminate paper. I think this depends on the test center because some ppl have said they got a fat marker.

As a side note, I never made as high as you did on Achiever and I got 20's in the sciences....I think you're ready.
