I was going over some bio problems and I just couldn't find the answer so I hope someone could help me.

#77. which of the following is a false statement about the Krebs(TCA)cycle?
a) it represents a phase of aerobic respiration
b) 3NADH, 2FADH2 and 1GTP are produced per turn of the cycle
C) the reactions occur within the matrix of the mitochondira
d) one molecule of glucose produces two turns of the cycle
e) all of these are true.

I think e should be the answer. if any of the answer among a~d is wrong, e should be wrong. I think a and c are true in my knowledge, but i am not sure if b and d should be true.
Anyway, the answer key says e. -_-;
the answer is e because... ??? is it because a and c are wrong as i said?
then why can't b and d be the answers, too?

#135. Glycolysis will produce?
a) 2ATP net
b) NADH
c) 2 moles of pyruvate
d) 2CO2
e) all of these

the answer key says e is the answer. but I've never heard that 2CO2 are the products of glycolysis. or ...does it really make 2 CO2?

77. answer is e. all of those are true. a and c are true. 3NADH and 1FADH2 are produced per turn of the citric acid cycle during oxidative phosphorylation and 2 ATP is produced via 1GTP intermediate during substrate level phophorylation so b is true. one molecule of glucose produces 2 turns of the cycle from the PGAL to pyruvate steps so d is true.

135. it makes 4CO2 in the 2 turns of the citric acid cycle. i havent heared of CO2 as a product during glycolysis. e is wrong answer

#77 is asking which statement is FALSE 🙁
anyway i guess this means that i found two errors from DAT destroyer.
I wonder why does every DAT study aids have at least 1~2 errors.

i know what its asking but listen to what i'm telling you. THEY ARE ALL TRUE!!

According to Kaplan, Glycolysis will yield a molecule of H2O... not CO2... You would get 2 molecules of CO2 per turn of Krebs, but not in glycolysis

1) B is correct, NOT E. It produces 1FADH2 per turn, 2 TOTAL.
2) ****ty question, because its the conversion of pyruvate to Acetyl CoA that makes the CO2. This is most often considered to be a link b/w glycolysis and Krebs, and not part of either.

Since you know 2ATPnet are made, along with 2 pyruvate, the answer has to be all of the above.

Hey guys whats goign on?
For Questions 77 a,b,c,d are all true. That is why statement E is true.

Questions 135 was actually a typo the correction was already made. It was seant to people that have the Destroyer it should have been H + instead.

No, Im 100% certain, 1 cycle makes 1 FADH2, NOT 2. This is why B is the correct answer, the book is wrong.

Don is correct, but Dr.Ramano called me back a few weeks back and corrected the mistake. Joon, if you have time call Dr.Ramano.
