Hey!
I am planning to take American DAT (I took Canadian one before) and get even higher score than my first one..

Just need some advices on whether attending Kaplan DAT preparatory class works better than just study DAT destroyer + Crack DAT 2008 Royal Flush Editions?

by the way.. just wonder whether I could beat my previous score by just simply use either one of the two ways listed above..😀

and is it possible to take American DAT in Toronto, Canada? or the nearest test place is Buffalo?

Just saw ur predent profile (realized u go the same university as I do). I saw that you had applied to a couple of schools in the states, but you only wrote your canadian dats. Is that right? Do some schools in US not really care if the DATs are canadian?

most schools accept cDAT.. the DAT you saw on predent is my 1st DAT..

hey ttc23,
I took the kaplan class at the toronto center last summer and i didnt like it that much. the class was so redundant of the textbook and i felt it didnt really helped me alot especially with the sciences. Plus its very expensive its like $800. However, if I was u i would try to buy the kaplan book which is available at coles or chapters which is like 70 max. On the other hand, i hear that this year the kaplan center in toronto is offering an upgraded dat course for the cDAT so it might be a better course than the last year courses. And if you are still intersting in the kaplan in class course materials you can make a post at premed101 dental forum to look for used stuff which would me much cheaper. Good luck 🙂

Hey TTC,

I am a third year engineering student at the same school as you. The answer to your question about writing american dat here is YES. You can write it at a "prometric" center, so the nearest one for us would be Bloor Street and Sherbourne. Just go to ADA.org and sign up, pay your $190, and get your eligibility letter. You can then sign up for the test after they process your fee etc, which happens on tuesdays.

I have an additional question, however. I wanted to know why you got rejected from BU and what the interview was like etc.

Thanks!

bad interview skill (or interpersonal skill) I guess.
She asks me how's Boston, and then just questions about my EC..
