I am going through the Destroyer the first time and have completed the following Q's so far:
30 Orgo
30 GC
50 BIO

Is it normal for this book to kick your butt the first time through???? I plan on going through it a second time when I am done, but I am interested to see how others used it. I am currently doing the above amount every day and reviewing the answers in the back with Chad's and google searches. Has anybody employed this method with success or have any other suggestions?

My average on these first 110 Q's was about 55-65% LOL.

Thanks

first time i went through the destroyer i started thinking about going to nursing school instead lool. it's very common. just stick with it. you will reap the rewards later.
good luck

It happens often. That is why this book is good at pointing out your weaknesses. Make sure you go over questions that you answered incorrectly and learn that topic. Good luck.

I purchased the destroyer a week before my test. So I am very short in time.
I only did about 100 questions for the bio part and I decided to stop since it is way harder than the real exam. And it took me too much time reading the answers for all those knowledges I have never prepared. Although bio is my weak part, I think other materials such as qVault and DAT achiever has helped me a lot and make me well prepared.
But I finished the Ochem part which is my weak section. I think the Ochem part is very good, the road map is gold!!!! I basically just go through the road map everyday for the last 3 or 4 days before my exam. And to be honest, I think the real test is probably the same difficulty as the destroyer.
I end up with very satisfied score: 23TS and I got 24 in bio. So thats why I dont think doing all destroyer bio part is gonna help me a lot.

Hahah, it is common to experience it. There is so much in that book that I have not covered in my orgo class. Do not be disappointed, just understand the problems, know the reactions and the road maps. Good luck.

I'm a bit confused - have you taken the real DAT yet?
