Hi, I'm new to SDN and this is my first time posting. I just took my DAT yesterday and was very happy with my scores. I mostly used DAT Destroyer and also used topscore. They were both really helpful but destroyer was INCREDIBLE and I definitely recommend that anyone taking the DAT should invest in buying it before any other book!! So many of the questions I had in the bio, chem and orgo sections of my DAT were information I had read about in the destroyer. Topscore wasn't as helpful for its information but it was great for a simulated experience of the DAT by taking a timed test on the computer. To study the sciences I only used Destroyer and Topscore and these were my scores for the sciences:
Bio 26
Chem 24
Orgo 26
Bottom line: buy the DAT destroyer!

wow thats impressive! great job! are you a bio major by any chance???...i'm not but i've taken a few bio classes here and there. did u use anything else for the sciences like shaums, kaplan or achiever or was the destroyer enough for the sciences? i'm super scared that i'm gonna focus on the wrong things again(like study too many details) for bio especially. also, i noticed that destroyer has a lot of tricky and confusing chem calculations...how in depth do you think we have to know those probs??

when i took the DAT in april, i noticed that sooo many questions were conceptual and application based instead of straight up memorizing like i had studied. so i'm using Destroyer right now to study for DAT again and the questions definitely make you think outside the box and put together concepts. I hope it works!! thanks for the feedback 🙂

Isn't this amazing that we have already seen about 5~6 people with 25 or above on TS just in June while there are usually only 13~15 of them yearly?

I agree completely...

Regardless of what was in one book, there is no possible way to score that good with ONE source without a tremendously good background in the subject.

I didn't use destroyer, and it may be an excellent source, but it cannot replace 3 years of college textbooks and classes.

What are you talking about with the marketing strategy?? Who would have interest in marketing a book for the heck of it. The poor girl is just probably ecstatic that she did so well. I know i would be very greatful if I did that well. Im taking my DAT in 5 days and ive used alot of destroyer and i am very happy with it. I dont know what your problem is.

Actually, Dr. Romano and Nancy urge their students to post nice things about destroyer in sdn. This is proven by many people in the past. I am sure they still do that.

You want to see a good marketing strategy? Look at the top of the page under the donations...DAT Destroyer & Crack DAT PAT are both companies I both communicate with on a regular basis. Trust me...these products do the advertising on their own. DAT Destroyer regardless of sdn is known throughout the country among pre-dents and Crack the DAT PAT is right behind it. I'd bet my money the OP is just happy about his scores. I wouldn't waste my time making unnecessary remarks about potential advertisements and be a little more smart and try to get some advice on how the OP studied. I think it'd be a little more worth all our time 😉

Congrats on the scores. I'm glad to hear that the DAT Destroyer worked so well for you. I'm currently using it and loving it. Hopefully it works out well for me as well.

Having said that, the destroyer is an excellent resource, and I would reccommend it to anyone.

If I remember this correctly... Once or twice a month someone will advertise DESTROYER in the same format... listing BIO, CHEM, and ORGO scores... I don't recall the SN...but yeah...hahaha...good laugh.

However I know the person who posted this thread personally nd i also know that her scores are legit if you dont believe me PM me and i will prove it to you. Just lay off her.

Well as you can tell she isnt really on here much so she wouldnt really defend herself. Also why be so negative and assume she didnt do so well. Merely congratulate and move on. It may be a public forum bu the forum is meant to help and learn not criticize and speculate.
