For almost $170, the book comes in a poor bound booklet. I had much higher expectations! The shipping cost about $20. Tell me if that's justified when you pay only $3 to ship via media mail.
I am using this book, along with my ACS guides and I feel that the ACS for organic chemistry, general chemistry (both about $20 each) are much more helpful. Destroyer is ok for practicing but it didn't teach me much of anything. I'd recommend the ACS books (both you can buy online for cheap). It teaches you basic concepts and has tons of questions to cover each topic. It's also easier to navigate e.g if you are weak in Thermodynamics, study the thermodynamics chapter.
For Biology, I am using the AP Biology book and Schaum's. AP biology prep questions (give by my sister's high school teacher) has 500 questions...plenty to cover the material with the book. This cost me about $10 online.
In summary, I feel that the material on the DAT Destroyer is not representative of the test. You are better off using the above guides.
But of course, if you have money and plenty of time and if it helps your confidence, use it. I'm not saying that it's a bad product. I'm saying that you can get the same quality for only $15 using the official ACS guides since they're written by the American Chemical Society for gen chem and ochem.
It seems that Orgoman is trolling on these forums to try to promote their products. I hope you read this and lower the price for students. C'mon, $20 for shipping! Also, it's not like orgoman put in so much effort yearly, he reuses the questions each year! For someone who promotes education, he surely likes to rip students off.
Cheers to DAT studying!
