I know everybody will think that I work for Dr. Romano or something, but I don't. I have never met him. I live over 2,000 miles from New York. I just feel it would help you guys out. Dental school is really competititive and you need to do well on the DAT. Take it from me that the destroyer prepares you the best for the sciences. Here are my science scores on the dat.

BIO= 24
Ochem= 23
Gchem= 21
Total Science= 23

I went through Kaplan blue book and made pretty detailed study guides for each of the science sections. Im about to start on Destroyer but i was just wondering if you think a month is enough time for it? Im taking the DAT march 1st and i'm feeling prettttttty overwhelmed, to say the least.😱

In my opinion,Destroyer is a good resource but I won't advice anybody to rely only on that for DAT as the actual test is very much in depth.

Never even touched DAT destroyer. My friend had it though and loved it, just saying you can do without.

Used Kaplan Blue Book, Schuam's Outlines, Topscore software, and a bunch of old, cheap textbooks. IMO, taking practice tests is the way to go, so my vote for most useful resource is Topscore.

I made it through the destroyer in 2 weeks, while doing Kaplan tests. I'm planning on going through it more though, especially for Orgo. There are some questions I haven't seen elsewhere and therefore need repeated review in order to "click".

Some random destroyer tips: I made copies of the Road Maps and blanked out some products/reagents. Doing these "worksheets" a few times has helped me remember rxns. For bio you're going to need a reference, like wikipedia or your own notes, because the explanations don't quite do it for me.

So yeah, I think one month is doable. HTH

I also used kaplan but that is it. I think Kaplan is very good to go through too. It reminded me of a lot of things and was a good refresher course. After kaplan, I went through destroyer twice. It was more in depth than kaplan and is definetly the reason I scored high on the sciences. I also did top score and dat achiever, which are also very helpful.

When did you take the DAT?

Hello, my name is Oleg.
I live in Brooklyn,NY and very interested in finding study partner or partners who may be also interested in studying together for the DAT! I have knowledge on some topics more than on the others, but currently study on my own from the DAT Test Prep Books. As we all know, "two heads better then one" and " the more, the marrier". I figured studying with someone else will make the time go by more interesting and fun at the same time. Please let me know if you are interested or know someone who may be interested.

Thank you very much, in advance!
Sincerely, Oleg

Would you mind sharing your practice test scores?

I dont have the exact numbers handy but on top score and achiever my bio ranged from 17-19
