Hey guys I am trying to use the DAT detroyer to study and as I have done the first 100 questions I only got 47 right!! Is there anyone that used the detroyer that was able to study with other materials? And how did you use the destroyer to study? Any help is greatly needed... THANKS A2Z

what i did was go thru each question and if whether i missed it or not, write down the concept and hint for each question. thay way the second time i go over the book, its more like im reading a textbook. and i dont circle the answer🙂

Think of the Destroyer as the Kaplan Blue Book, only backwards. In the Kaplan book, you are presented information, and then tested on it. In the Destroyer, you are presented a test, and then given the information in form of solutions.

When I began using the Destroyer, I, like you, thought that there was a "best" way to study the Destroyer. In reality, there is no best way, because it varies depending on the individual. However, this is one way that has worked for me:

1) read each problem and its solution
2) make notecards, or notes, on the important topics presented in both the problem and solution (don't only focus on the problem, but the solution too)
3) study the notecards, until you know the topics cold
4) when ready, do the problems over and over until you are getting most correct

Keep in mind that I studied the Kaplan Blue Book prior to making Destroyer note cards. I could not imagine attempting the Destroyer unless you have a solid foundation. Still, to each their own.

I would agree with everything busupshot83 said. I have followed essentially the same approach and it has worked great for me. Def make sure you have a solid foundation in kaplan before starting the destroyer. Additionally, for problems I didn't know on the destroyer I would use a textbook to supplement the informaion. If you have a good foundation stick with the destroyer, I believe it is the best product on the market! Good luck with your studies!
