Hi guys- I am considering buying DAT destroyer but I am not sure what its format is. Is it just a ton of practice questions and their explainations or does it cover topic by topic like the kaplan book? 🙂

its seperated by sections . it has all the major concepts required in the dat. make sure you buy it from them new and not used b/c the support you get from dr. romano and nancy is great. It is basically questions and detailed solutions, but it really helps.

Perfect- I have lots of study materials but now i just need practice questions. I bought topscore but i want to save it until a couple of weeks before the test. Is Achiever also question/answer format and how does it compare to Destroyer?

Hey predent,
Destroyer is the way to go for questions, for real. The questions are pretty tough, harder than Top Score and Achiever, which I think is good because it gives you a better idea of how the real dat could be. The other cool thing about it is that it explains each answer (it's not just an answer key), so while it doesn't have topic sections where it teaches, each answer has a lot of info, almost like a mini topic review. I don't know if achiever explains things the same way, i have to get it too -- but i do know that destroyer is terrific and hard and makes me feel like i'm studying as hard as i possibly can. and it is definitely as tough if not way tougher than achiever.

Pudz i couldnt agree with you more... the destroyer is great- i just got through all the bio questions and explanations and im feeling pretty solid in the section. the orgo section in the destroyer has these amazing road maps, that i use to study all the reactions. I found the explanatios in the back of the text just as helpful as the questions- because they explain the answers.. GOOD LUCK
