Hello all,

Ive been studying for a while now, and, I think that the DAT destroyer is a great compilation of the sciences. It hits both ends of the spectrum, from general to odd-ball types of information...

I can safely say, that if I had this book back during my undergraduate years, I would have done MUCH better...Its great at simplifying all the material your professors jumbled through in lecture!

Ive used Kaplan and TopScore as well. I wouldn't bad mouth them- but if you want everything put in a nice - informative- detailed - strait forward package and including those "out there" questions...GO DESTROYER!

Study the Destroyer.. i just finished the DAT today, and i wished that i had spent a week more just studying the destroyer (only went through about 50-60 questions in subjects of the destroyer)

Yep. the destroyer is the way to go.
Also, Dr. Romano and Nancy Steen are the two people I respect the most in this DAT world 🙂

yeah, i agree-- the answers are designed so you know so many different parts of a certain topic which helps alot!

I'm in the process of going through destroyer right now. I took the dat last year with horrible results.

I could honestly say the destroyer takes it to a whole new level. If you could understand it you will have no problem on the DAT. My test is on 7/28 so we will see if it really helped since the only thing I am doing different is going through destroyer over and over. Last time I studied the kapland blue book, achiever, topscore, barrors and cambell biology.

no ****, we should dedicate an entire forum for the DAT destroyer so that all the destroyer population have a brand new destination.

I just did a quick search for the destroyer posts, btw 1/28/07 til now, there are 350 posts either dedicated to the DAT destroyer, or the word destroyer has shown up somewhere in the posts. It has been about 4 months and 30 days in one month, in avg we have about 3 posts per day are somehow related to the destroyer. People, I believe we heard enough of it, let's give them a break.

If you don't like it than you don't have to read it. This is a free forum and people can post whatever they want. Some people, like myself, really like the material and it's like a breath of fresh air...very different from the conventional material that is out there.

I for one am glad that people keep talking about it b/c that's how it caught my eye when I first started reading these forums. The Destroyer was an integral part of my study plan...I thought it was much better than the other material that was out there.

The bottom line is...a thread like this can give insight to someone who is looking for new material. If I was able to benefit from the material I'm sure there are others out there.

Of course...you would rather use these forums to ask people for exact questions right? Yeah good luck w/ that...

yea, I'm going through it now...and its kicking me....especially biology...I'm looking up words I'm not completely sure off...glad I have it; it kinda makes me realize what I'm weak at and I can work on it

answer the questions in bio and then look up the answers if you get them wrong really understand what topic is being tested and if you understand the solution. If you feel weak in that area look it up in Campbells or Kaplan DAT prep.

I agree with donsaxena...I actually work on a page at a time- answer those questions and then if i need more understanding after reviewing the solutions, i look it up on wikipedia, kbb, or some other book..
i don't think its practical to go through the entire bio section...then go back...there's so many!

You have no right to tell people to stop posting about a given topic.

Just as you are free to come into these forums and start pointless polls, make base less accusations (like saying I work for orgoman), and propagate your paranoia derived consipracy theories.

If at least one new member reads a thread about Destroyer, decides to purchase it and benefits from it. By all means it was worth. You don't fall under that category. Fine...it's time for you to move on.

Amen! I agree with Poc completely. This is a free forum and people can post anything they want. If people like studying from the destroyer then let them, it will not hurt you. If you don’t like it fine, you are welcome to post any alternative studying method that works for you. I just bought the Destroyer and I actually find it very helpful. I am also using the Achiever and I also find it very helpful along with Raymonds help. I hope you don`t have a problem with it. 🙂
I undestand that you are angry about the fact that you may not have gotten the scores that you wanted. I hear you! We are all studying here and hoping for the best. However, any prep course will not give you the exact questions that are on the DAT simply because they do not know them. They are not the one making these questions up!

You have your opinions and you are entitled to them. My main point is, is that this is a DAT forum. People are here to gain insight on DAT study material. You are persuading people to suppress their ideas regarding something that pertains to the DAT simply b/c you yourself are tired of hearing about it. I'm telling you that you are not in a position to say that b/c to encourage such suppression defeats a certain purpose to these forums.

So, what I am alluding to is that you are not in a position to nullify a certain purpose that comes w/ the nature of these forums. Does that make sense??? I don't really see where the contradiction is.

On another occasion you accused me of working for Orgoman when you had nothing substantial to back that up. I didn't say anything. Yet again, in this thread you do it again. Therefore, I feel compelled to say something on my behalf and defend myself

I'm sure under similar circumstances you would be offended as well. You would be lying if you said you were never subjected to some sort of generalization and you weren't offended.

But, you're right it is time to drop the matter as we both probably have better things to do. So, whether you need it or not, good luck w/ the process and best wishes.

I knew it, just one more candid opinion then I'm dead meat. This will be my last post on this thread (Amen!) cuz that's all the energy I'm willing to use over this Destroyer matter (for today).

I don't know if some of you might have gotten a discount or gotten something nice from them and willing to defense it with your lives (there is no free lunch), it's not my business and it got nothing to do with me. One of you said I talk negative about them, is it really that "negative"? If you are given the freedom to say or to praise about something, don't mandate others not to say otherwise, just like I didn't commend you not to praise 3 posts a day. You guys just can't bare one little comment; it got me wonder WHY, seems really suspicious.

Ok, that's all I'm going to say about IT today. Don't hate or curse me just because we might have different opinions on things, we come here to chat, discuss and have fun. "Destroyer or not destroyer, this is the confusion-" Cheers and have a wonderful evening.
