I just took my DAT today, I am very suprised with the outcome but also I was really pissed off myself. Somehow, I misunderstood that after the reading compreshension, it doesn't automatically go to the Quantitive Reasoning. So I waited for a few seconds and didn't see the clock continue running. That's why I decided to take a break and when I got back, the QR was already on and I lost 5 mins. 5 MINs!!!! I was so pissed...that's why my QR is so low. The QR section is not that hard...I could have done better...oh well =(. So here is my score:
Perceptual Ability 19
Quantitative Reasoning 17
Reading Comprehension 17
Biology 21
General Chemistry 20
Organice Chemistry 20
Total Science 20
Academic Average 19

I haven't sent out my application and writing my personal statement yet. My overall GPA is around 3.4. And I am working as a dental assistant now. I am not sure whether I am quailified enough to apply. Does anyone know any school that's easy to get in? Please let me know.
Thanks

What did you use for bio and sciences? thanks nice scores

I used Kaplan blue book and its online source, destroyer, datachiever and topscore to study for science. I think those are enough for you. Honestly, the bio is very random on the real test and very simple, not complicated like destroyer. Some people said they got a lot of application questions in the bio, but it's not much on mine. Some questions I never encounter before but they're doable. I don't get a lot of lab questions in NS. The calculation on the gchem of the real test is easier than the practise test. The ochem is also easier, the reactions is very simple. They give me 2 NMR problems, I am not sure about the answers so I just guessed. But don't freak out, it's simple. You just need to memmorize major groups like OH, amine, COOH, alkyne, alkene and alkane. I was struggled with the bio at first and made a lot of guess but I am very suprised with the outcome. I suggested you divided the time wisely for natural science. It should be 30mins/section. If you can't get it, just mark it and make a guess. But don't leave any question blank...you never know sometimes it might be right.
I think just like many people said already, just study your material well, know why the correct is correct and the wrong is wrong. Bio is very random on the real test, but it's easy to make a guess.
For the RC, I didn't do too well on that but I'm pleased with the score because English is my second language and I'm very bad with reading =). I got 2 sciece passages, one of them is about Asprin, the 3rd one is about piano and its structure. It was painful for me during the RC =)

Good job! Unless you are applying to schools with high avg like ivy league schools, you will definitely have several interview invites coming in.

No, I am not looking to attend any ivy league schools. I am willing to travel out of state. I'll be happy to get into any dental school. Do you think it's not too late to apply? because some people told me I should apply as soon as the application open, it'll give me more chance. I still need to write up my PS though =(

no its not too late, just make sure you get your stuff in ASAP.

how long did you put in to studying in general? and how long to complete destroyer?

I was really lacking off and not too concentrated in study as I'm supposed to. Also, I was so scared to take the test that's why it took me a year to overcome my fear and went ahead to take it anyway...just to get it over my chest. I think like most people say: just put out 3 months intensely study, you'll do fine. There will be a lot of stress, but just stay calm on the test day because the clock keeps ticking and it made you more nervous. I tried not to pay attention on the time, but glance at it once awhile to check where im at but I divided the time for each section.

I went over destroyer over and over to know material better because in all the resourse that I used, I think Destroyer is the hardest one and very informative. Topscore and Datachiever is very helpful too. But actually, on my real test, these resouces prepared me more than I need to know but for bio section, they just threw some questions out there and I just guess.

Good scores, and especially very important that you did not get anything below 17. Any 16 or 15 would ruin it down for you, but This is very good.
How was PAT compared to CRACK PAT, achiever and the rest?

good score
I just went through the pages on this site to check out other people' score. Most of them did so well, seem like this year average is gonna be high. I am kind of nervous, not sure if I can get into any dental school.

The PAT is much easier. I didn't do the CRACK PAT, but for me the datchiever is the hardest.
