First time poster, but I've been lurking for about a month. I just took the DAT today and here are my scores:

PAT: 18
QR: 20
RC: 19
Bio: 20
Chem: 23
Orgo: 24
TS: 22
AA: 21

I started studying around a month ago, 4-5 hours a day. I was also doing research 40 hrs/week so I didn't get to put in as much time as I would have liked.

Bio: Pretty hard, as I was going through I wasn't feeling good at all about it. I was pleasantly surprised by my score, as I expected to do much, much worse. I read Cliff's 3-4 times and Destroyer twice for this section. Destroyer didn't really help much for this section. I bought Schaum's but never opened it cause it looked so boring haha.

Chem: Not bad. I solely used Destroyer for this, but most of it was much simpler then it.

Orgo: Pretty straightforward. Again, I only used destroyer for this and it seems to have everything you need. I got like 2 NMR questions and 1 IR question, but they were pretty basic.

PAT: Ironically, I thought I was doing really well in this section and was pretty pissed when I saw my score. Angles and pattern folding were pretty damn hard, I'm pretty sure I missed a bunch of those. Keyholes and TFE were ok, same with cubes. Hole punching was just...different then Crack DAT PAT. I use the grid method and a lot of the time it was really hard to see which hole they were punching because it just didnt line up. I was scoring 20+ on all Crack tests, so I don't know what happened.

RC: Didn't study at all for this section. I got the piano passage (hard), Cell communication, and aspirin. Again, I thought I was doing really well on this section and was expecting no less then 20.

QR: Really pressed for time on this one. Lots of word problems, didn't need to know any weird conversions or anything like that. There were a few easy ones, but most were tough. I must have marked a 1/3 of them the first time through. I didn't study for this section at all, although I did do an SAT math test yesterday haha.

Overall, fairly happy with my scores, but I'm betting if I didn't have to work 8 hours a day I coulda've done a little better. That's not an excuse, though. Anyways, hope this helps!

Everyone who is in your situation always rocks the DAT...it is sort of weird. I am also a junior, but I don't feel ready for the DAT test yet...

Thanks. I'm gonna be a junior this fall so I'm not applying till next cycle.

Yeah, I don't know. I kind of wish I had waited till next summer cause I'm taking a bunch of upper level bio courses this year that I think maybe woulda've helped for the bio section, then just plain old Biology 101 (most of which I forgot). Speaking of Bio, if you want a high score (23+), I don't think Cliff's is sufficient. If I could do it over, I would read that bitch of a book Schaums like 2 or 3 times through haha.

hmm I agree with the hole punching part on the real DAT is f#@$ ed up.

It looks like some ****ty papers that was scanned for the test, and the holes don't line up. I'm kinda worried since it might throw me off using the grid method.

First time I took it I was like wtf...........😱

Yeah, it really ****ing pissed me off. I mean, I really can't remember the last time I got anything less then 15/15 on Crack DAT hole punching. But I'm pretty sure I missed a few on the DAT. It's not that the fold were complicated or anything like that, but they would make these weird punches like in between where you would think 2 holes would be.

great scores! Why do you say that destroyer wasn't helpful for the bio section. That's my weak area so I'm trying to get all the help i can get. I have destroyer and kaplan now so..

Destroyer only helped me for 1 or 2 questions at the most. The rest of the stuff I got right came solely from studying Cliff's. However, Destroyer is perfect for the Chem and Orgo sections and I attribute my good scores in those sections to it.
