I just finished my exam , i do not know should i retake or not since SDN people have high scores . Here below are my scores :
PA : 17
QR: 16
RC : 17
BIO: 19
GC : 19
OC: 20
AA: 18
TS : 20

Since i did poorly in the practice tests for Bio sections , i devoted all the time to study BIo . I thought i am good at math . THen , i did not study for QR. I learn from myself : "WORK HARD PAYS OFF". My GPA is 3.2 , and i have been working in dental office for 4 years . I also volunteer in University Maryland , Medical Center . I graduated with Biochem last year , and this coming fall i got accepted to Biotechnology master degree program . What is my chances ? Do i need to retake ?
Here are my breakdown for the test :
BIO : a lot or weird questions that i did not see in Destroyer or Kaplan , i guess all of the time , and got lucky.
GC : straight forward , few calculations .
OC : Straight forward . Kaplan is good enough . Destroyer is over-prepared.
PAT: i did well in Crack the DAT , and i did not practice them before the tests . Iam so get mad when i receive my scores.
RD : long passages , and a lot of questions about first statement is true , second statement is wrong , both of them wrong , both of them true ... FOr the first 35 minutes , i just finish 1 section , and i was so worry . ANd at that time , i think i will get 12 or 13 in RD , and i have to retake the test . However , the score surprised me ... 🙂
QR : I always got 24 for Kaplan practices and around 20 for Crack the Math . I do not know what was going on . Kind of dissapointed.

Overall, i was so sad about my scores because i felt like i was left out of this forum . However , this is my first time , and i think i will do best on my second . Anybody gives me an advice . thanks.

Your science scores are decent but PAT QR and RC so low might hurt you... Plan on a retake.

If your GPA was higher, I would tell you not to retake. In light of your scenario, however, you probably should take the test again. Do you have a state school that gives residential preference? If so, flip a coin to decide on a retake.

Did you post your scores right?

bio 19+gc 19+orgo 20/3 = 19.3 = TS of 19

am i right? i have been studying for a long time today so my brain is mush. I only poke because there is a difference between TS of 19 and 20. Not huge, but significant none-the-less.

I would say most likely you should, since your gpa isnt above average.

How can you say that the destroyer is too much for the Orgo when you didnt do amazingly well in the orgo. Had you known everything in the destreoyer you woulda done alot better.

haha im starting to think klutzy is dr. romano based on how much he loves destroyer.

but while i haven't taken the test yet, i agree with him. perhaps its over-kill if your aim is low 20, but from what ive noticed, all the high scorers all swear by destroyer.

and dru180, TS is based just on # correct out of 100, its not an average

I said Destroyer is over-prepared because based on what i saw on the test , the Road Map are too much in Destroyer . But , in the exam , there were not a lot of reactions . I did not do good in my test because Bio section over-killed me , there were a lot of weird questions and pictures . Then i spent a lot of time to answer Bio, when it came up to GC and OC , I was kind of run out of time . Anyway , it's just my opinion . I will retake the DAT in the end of October . Iam happy because i was scared of Science , then i did good . I will post my score 3 months later , now i have to enjoy my summer because i will go back to school soon . Thanks for all comments.

I'm so tired of stupid people giving advice about the DAT when they don't even know how the G**D**** test is graded. TS is NOT the average of the three science scores. TS is your total science score based on how many you missed out of 100 questions. It basically takes into consideration that there are 40 bio questions but only 30 gc and 30 oc....
