Finished my DAT today here are my scores:

bio-19
chem-20
ochem-21
pat-20
rc-19
qr-17
ts-20
aa-19

-Overall I thought I would do better especially in bio and qr. Biology was very random and there were several difficult questions I had never heard of. I thought I was prepared for bio as i was getting 20,21,22 in topscore. QR was alot tougher because of the shortage of time. There were alot of word problems and I thought I would do better, but unfortunatly qr brought my aa down. Idk how competitive my scores really are though.

I have a 3.76 overall and 3.85 science. I have done some research, shadowing, volunterring, clubs, etc. I go to a good university as well.

congrats on being done! i feel that your scores are pretty average or maybe just slightly above average, but definitely nothing out of the ordinary. With that high gpa and good extracurriculars, you may have a pretty decent shot. gluck

congrats on the solid scores are ur scores average? i would say not ur total science is a 20 which is good score yeah ur math score did bring u down a lil but not terrible dude a 17 in math is not bad at all u have good grades and research dont consider a re-take unless ur advised by a a school .......if you cud tell us what you used to study what was the best study aid in ur opinion that would be great and congrats again.

I studied for about 6 weeks in total. At first I read kaplan BB, and chads videos. Then I did destroyer and read cliffs. I also used topscore, achiever, and CDP. I did well on my first topscore and the others were ok. I thought I had a good grasp on the biology, i went through cliffs and kaplan bb several times. However, there were several questions that I had never heard of or ever saw when i took bio in school. Biology section was more difficult than i thought it was going to be. QR just sucked cause the problems took longer. I was getting 21,20,20 on my practice tests. CDP was a very good source, I was getting 21,22 and even a 26 near the end, and it was definitely helpful. Destroyer was great for ochem. Chads chem videos were good as well.

Thanks for letten me know what resources you used thats a great score dude im using all the same stuff as you are i hope do as well yeah ive heard bio has a lot of random stuff. im just worried abt math and qr the most and sum random bio questions as well.

hey to the op, i actually took the dat today and got really similar scores to you, except i got a 20 in bio and 19 on pat

i also agree about the bio...that was my most confident subject and i was absolutely floored at some of the questions, which i felt had no business being in the test

to those of you who havent taken the dat yet, just be prepared to have to guess on some questions. no shame. the field's just too large and theres too many things they can ask. one tip though, is that reviewing what you learned from biology lab classes will help quite a bit...that caught me off guard
