I just took the Dats today! I am not sure what to make of my scores. I've been studying for about a month. I don't think I did that great.. about average?

I don't think is that bad overall is very good. I have heard that PAT score doesn't count too much!!!
What did you used to study????????

It's about average according to SDN standards. If there aren't any glaring mistakes in rest of your application you might be OK.

I would retake it just to be safe though.

If you have time, why don't you give another try and take it one more time. Some schools have cut-offs and they don't accept scores lower than 15. It would be good if you can improve your PAT score to 16.

I would seriously consider retaking. 14 is just too low of a score. Your scores in the sciences are very strong.
