Hi guys,

Just done with my DAT yesterday and having been lurking around on this forum for a year.These are my scores:
i did well in the science but did horribly on the reading and PAt .I dont think im going to retake however because the whole process of studying is so frustrating. Any ways the scores:
Bio:23
gChem:26
oChem:21
RC:17
PAT:17
TS:23
QR:19
AA:21
Materials Used:
Topscore,Acheiver,CDP,Destroyer,Cliffs AP Bio,Barrons AP Flash Cards(Honestly this stuff is great ,its like general Bio-1 and 2 on flashcards) and kaplan online.I also took 15 hrs of private kaplan tutoring , becuase as crazy as this might sound I wasnt able to focus on studying for the DATs after my summer session was over.
I studied fpor 3.5 weeks with the last week of total crazy studying .Here a breakup of how I studied.
Bio:I did both destroyer,Kaplan Online ,Topscore and Acheiver.But to be very honest the test is really very different from any of these resources.I think more than all these resources put together the fact that i took bio-2 over the summer and had genetics and evolution fresh in my head was what helped me the most.If you guys can beleive it i had 16 answers which i had "marked" to think over again.i didnt get time to but thats another story. the remaining 24 questions were easy. I do not think that the destroyer helps in this section that much.
Genchem: Kpalan and destroyer prepare you well for this section.
OChem:I did only Kaplan Online for this section along with Topscore and Acheiver.Didnt go thru destroyer and the section was fair over all.Dont forget to do Lab techniques.
PAT:Im horrible at this section.3.5 weeks for practice and I still cant get it .Was hoping for an 18 but oh well..
RC: I got the paino passage. Frankly i didn't practice at all for this this section and it shows i guess in my scores.I crazy logic was why practice when your never going to get the same passages.🙂Anyways moving on
QR:my undergrad major is engineering and thought i would crack and 20+on this section but ,frankly after the killer bio section my whole mood of the test changed .I kept thinking to my self ive wasted a ton of money and was anyways going to have to retake. I think if i focused more on this section i cud have done better.

Despite those 17's I think your in great shape, congrats!!!

21 AA puts you in really good shape and your lowest score was a 17 I don't think you need to retake....congrads playa let us know how admissions go

really great scores..so you must have answered most of the 16 you marked right then?
it sounds like you did a whole lot of studying in 3 weeks..destroyer bio alone must take at least a week

Yeah the last 3 weeks were really hectic .Along with my tutoring ,I was also studying simultaneoulsy.i think the hardest subject on prepare for was bio.A heads up for people who are taking the test soon😀ont ignore boring areas like evolution,ecology etc.Another thing i found was that ADAs Bio Section didnt really stick to the guidlines of how many questions per section they posted on the qebsite.For example if i remember clearly human systems is supossed to cover 13-14 question ,but on my version of the test were no more than about 8 questions.

great scores I'm in the same boat as you...great overall scores and 17 on PAT...with a 21 I'm sure your in good shape as your still in the 90+ %ile.
