So.. I'm finally done! I'm not really sure if I should be happy about my scores, but I am definitely happy that's it over. I didn't do as great as most people on SDN. But let's face it, some us are just normal human beings. 🙂

Biol: 19
Chem: 20
Ochem: 23
PAT: 20
Reading Comp: 17 =\
QR: 20

TS: 20
AA: 20

GPAc: 3.75 GPAs: 3.82

My thoughts:

Biol: <-- I used Kaplan bb, AP Cliffs, and Wiki. This section was a lot harder than I thought it would have been. Some of the questions were pretty specific. I skipped so many questions my first time going through them. =\

Chem: <--I used the destroyer and kaplan bb. There were more conceptual questions than cal. For some reason, I thought this section was a lot easier than the other two science sections.

OChem: <--I used the destroyer and rxn flashcards I had made when I took the class. There were a couple of IR questions that I didn't know how to do. There were a lot of E1/E2/SN2/SN1 questions.

PAT: <-- I used CDP, which I think is a little more difficult than the actual test. Hole punching and angles were a lot easier.

Reading Comp: <-- This has always been the most difficult section for me. Unfortunately, English is my second language and yeah I suck. I panicked in the beginning, thinking somehow this section will screw me over at the end. The funny thing was the passages were actually interesting. Anyone other than myself would have probably rocked this section.

Math: <--Math destroyer and Crack DAT Math. I was making 17's and 18's until I bought these two products. CDM helps you with time-management Math destroyer shows you how to solve every problem step-by-step.

My scores for topscore, achiever, and kaplan:

Topscore:
1) 21.20.20 2) 21.21.21 3) 21.20.18

Achiever:
1) 19.20.16 2) 17.18.17 3) N/A

Kaplan:
Pt1: 21.20.17 Pt2: 20.20.18 Final: 22.23.19

I've been a spectator on SDN for quite some time now and seriously this website rocks. Thank you everyone!!

I hope I have a chance :xf:. If you have any questions, I'd love to help!

Very nice scores. I think you have a really good chance of getting in. I am almost following the same study path like yours. I have a couple of questions.
First of all I'm just curious about the interesting pasages. Do you remember the subjects?
How do you compare kaplan's bio to the real thing?
Thanks...

Are the general chemistry section questions like in the destroyer like the answer choices are a. Choice I and II, b. Choice III only, c. three of the above.

Or is it just always one answer choice?
What about the other sections?

Yea your going to get accepted for sure as long you don't screw the interview up... You got overall good gpa's and a good DAT score..I wouldn't be to worried about it... APPLY EARLY!

Reading is a little low but honestly.. i dont think they will care if they know it is your second language. Awesome O-chem score!

Sorry everyone for the super late response! I have been out of the country...but

Congratulations!

Thank you!! Good luck on the DAT! =)

Damn... 20/20 and 3.7
congrats on your future acceptance letter(s)

Thank you! It's really nice to hear that from someone who performed better than I did on the DAT. =) I think your 8-week study program pretty much hits right on target on how to prepare for the DAT.

I remember 2 out of the 3 passages. I was in panic mode for the first one so for some reason I can't recall it. But the other 2 passages were about antibiotics and herbs. Trust me, I felt really lucky that I had those passages. So hopefully, you'd be as lucky as I was =)

Ohhh man, the kaplan bio section was completely different from the real DAT. I felt like kaplan used the same questions over and over again on each of their practice exams. Ex: Kaplan would always ask a question about the germ layers. By the time you finish your last practice test, you feel pretty confident about the bio section, but in actuality I was not fully prepared. On the real test, the questions were more in depth. The questions were probably as difficult as the achiever questions.

What about the other sections?

I hate those type of questions, but fortunately all the questions had only one answer choice.
