I took my DAT today but I'm pretty worried about the score (since my gpa is pretty low)
feel like I won't get into anywhere...

PAT = 19
QR = 20
RC = 20
Bio = 22
GC = 22
OC = 21
TS = 21
AA = 21

The PAT was a lot harder than the questions I got from CrackPAT. I usually score 21-22 on that but didn't do as well on the actual test.
Maybe I was kind of exhausted after the natural science part I found myself staring at the monitor for like 3 minutes during the PAT session.

I didn't really prepare for QR section, just went through the problem in destroyer and kaplan book. (by the way the calculator sucks)

I didn't even get to read the last passage and had to guess the answers since I ran out of time. (English is not my first language so I'm kind of slow at reading...especially on computer screen)
I can't really prepare for this section...

Bio...I felt that I should score higher on this section but the questions were really random.
It is better to review the campbell book to get higher score because kaplan is not enough for bio section.

Gchem is the part that I'm most worried about since I took the class...5 years ago.
I would say kaplan book is not enough for this section. It's better to get destroyer.

Ochem...I spent quite some time on this section and still did pretty bad. Destroyer is pretty good review for this section. I'm thinking about getting new material since I probably have to retake.

Your score and your breakdown does not match at all.
Don't be discouraged, because those are great scores!!

Did you not understand what the percentages next to each score meant? I'm pretty sure each one was close to the 90th percentile, except PAT, because I had almost exactly the same scores as you....

Those seem like better than decent scores to me.

it's just that I have to score extra high on the dat to balance our my low gpa
i have around 3.2 overall and science gpa lower than 3.0

Hey don't worry, you have pretty good percentile in each subject.So,I am sure you will get through some good university for sure.Which books did you refer?Can you tell me your whole study plan for DAT?For how long did you study for this?

Hey just know that you're not the only one with your stats. It's hard to go on sdn and see practically everyone with 3.7gpas and a 24aa. I'm in exactly your shoes right now. I have a 3.2 overall gpa and 3.0 science, but I got a 20AA on my dat, you yours is a bit higher. I totally know you feel right now. I was pretty upset with myself when I got my scores back, especially in the context of my gpa. But you did pretty well on your dat, and I'm sure you have a great story/ECs/etc! The best thing at this point is to be realistic but hopeful. I know--easier said than done, but we have to keep our heads up! 🙂

- big white kaplan review book - it has review notes for all subjects except PAT
- crack PAT - is a computer software that you can do practice tests that are very similar to actual dat
- Destroyer - I practice those problem after I finished the kaplan book and read the explanation for each problem (those are pretty helpful)

I didn't know how to prepare for Reading and I don't really have time to read extra stuff since I'm kind of overwhelmed by the amount of materials covered in the natural science part
