I studied for the DAT for about 5 weeks. I think any longer than 5 weeks, I would start to forget things so my strategy was to cram. For the first half, I shadowed a dentist full time and studied until about 1 am. During those time, I watched Chad's video on GC and OC. I focused most on GC because it was my weakest and it took me the longest to study for it. OC was pretty breezy since my school nailed me on it. For the second half, I did destroyer for GC and OC, and scored roughly 85% correct on my first run thanks to Chad's video. I studied for about 12 hours a day, sometimes more if I could keep going. For Bio, I read the bio section of KBB in one day. Then I read Barron's AP Bio the next day. For practice test, I used Topscore, KBB, 2007 ADA sample test. I only did the sciences and perceptual. I barely touched reading section, except just to trying to figure out which reading techniques work best for me. For QR, I did Chad without taking any notes and destroyer, but didn't touch much on it. Guess that was my downfall. The day before my test, I read through Barron's AP Bio quickly just to refresh my memory and reviewed my notes for GC and OC from Chad's video. IMO if you UNDERSTAND Chad's video and can get around 85-95% correct on destroyer, there is no way you cannot score at least 21+ on GC and OC, unless you make careless mistakes. On my test day I did the same thing, since my test was in the afternoon. Hope that helps. 🙂 Good luck to those who will be taking it soon.
