It was my first DAT and i got FRAPPED;

PAT: 21
QR:21
RC:18 😡
Bio:22
Gchem:22
Ochem:23
TS:22
AA:21

I want to retake the exam but too late for this cycle 🙁
My total GPA is about 3.60 and science GPA 3.55. (cumulated GPA from community college and UC Berkeley). And major requirement courseworks are all done in community college. <- will it be ok?
I haven't submitted application yet, but will soon finish up application for 12 schools including all 6 in California and NYU, BU, Temple, Maryland, Howard, Columbia.

Yeah those are great scores

mad?!?!?!

21 puts you in the 90+%

short of havard you can pretty much go anywhere with a 21 esp since all your scores were 20+ and you had no weak areas,

actually 18 on QR is pretty decent most people get dragged down by time and have to score like a 24+ in orgo or something to make up for getting a 16-17 in QR

good job....any thoughts on the test?

Even with community college you should be in the clear try to get some good letters of recommendation and prepare for your interview, best of luck to you

What are you worrying about? I had quite a few friends that came out of CAL and I know how competitive it is, so If your maintaining a 3.5+ GPA---dude...that's really impressive. Plus I think TS is the most important section on the DAT, and you scored a 22. Stop worrying so much and send in your app. Good luck in dental school 😀

Great scores, 18 is plenty considering you rocked the rest.
What was your UCB gpa, excluding CC gpa?

Thank you for the comments!!
i studied w/ Kaplan and destroyer. I think Kaplan prepared me quite well, especially Bio/chem/gchem although that FRAP question was frightening.
Destroyer ochem and gchem is way harder than actual exam. For Ochem review before the test day, the flow charts in the destroyer answer key (those who have destroyer would know what i mean) was quite helpful.

and As others mentioned, PAT angle ranking was the hardest part and i spent most of time in that section, also spent last minutes reviewing marked angle ranking q's.

for RC preparation, i didn;t have much time for it. English is my second language and i can't read passage that fast.So I didn't use the Kaplan strategy. Instead, I read question first and find from passages.

For QR, I used to get 27-30 in practice exams, but i guess i was too tired and stressed out after the RC section. and actually it was little harder than i expected. I even left the last one question unanswered🙁

UCB GPA is 3.29 with molecular and cell biology major
w/o CC gpa, my GPA is not really good. So that's why i am worried about 🙁

Seriously get you APP in now

As long as you don't wait too long you should have no problem getting in somewhere
