I used Kaplan online, Schaums, and SDN to study 🙂

BIO:
Kaplan was beyond useless. I had some of the most specific questions and identifications possible that I haven't even seen or heard in my BIO major and I am done. SUPER specific....

GCHEM:
Not too bad, Kaplan was ok... I think I messed up on a couple easy problems that just require memorization from a source other than Kaplan. ( Kaplan lacked info )

OCHEM:
I have no idea what I missed, I must have made some stupid mistakes cuz I rocked this section on all my practice tests. I did have some funny technique questions and the a pair of C NMR questions.

PAT:
I have always scored 23+ on Kaplan, I thought Angle Ranking was going to detroy me on the real deal but I didn't have too much trouble with it.

RC:
I had one abnormaly large passage that made me run low on time. Again I usually had 24+ on Kaplan here.

QR:
I have no idea what I missed. I thought I missed 4, but I guess I missed more. There was one question that did not have an answer. period. I never missed more than 2-3 on all of my practice tests.

I am really disappointed with my scores today. I am going to get achiever and Destroyer and continue studying. Probably retake it in October.

Overall GPA: 3.67 Science 3.45

Tough luck getting screwed by the Frapp. You can still get in though depending on what school you want to go to.

Good job! That's still a solid score. I don't know if you have to retake unless you are Californian or shooting for ivy league type schools.

shooting for washington, temple, UoP, or VCU.

More than anything I am just disappointed because on my practice tests I have averaged 22-23ish.🙂

I can still get in somewhere, but I want to retake it now to prove that I know the material. I don't feel like that score is a true representation.

But, since your retake will be in early October at the earliest, just make sure which option (whether tell schools you will retake or not) will work the best for you.

your retaking. Are you out of your mind. Those are unbelievable scores! One 17 in bio and the rest are top notch..youll definitely get in. Other people would kill for those scores...congrats and enjoy your summer.

Retake in early October means schools may receive your official score report in late October. If schools allow you to fax the unofficial copy, it may quicken the process. You should contact each school to ask if they accept the fax version for review.

And if there is no note for intent to retake on the application, schools will most likely go ahead review with the old score.

You have the highest RC from a frap test that I have seem. I would say congrats for still staying above average with the hardest reading section on the DAT.

I wonder if I just psyched myself out on it or something.. I normally do better, and to be honest I felt good after RC.

I think the key to RC is being able to read hella fast. I read quickly and I think that is what saved me in RC. I usually finished RC sections with 10-15min left. I had about 45sec when I finished my last question. I had rushed thru a couple which is why I probably got a 19.

Simiam. CAn you help me with RC, cause if you can get a 19 RC on the FRAP test which i had as well, your my hero. Thats the most amazing score i ever saw on sdn lol. I felt that the ethics passage was the most bizzare thing i ever read. Congrats

It was rough huh? I really don't see how they can compare our DAT scores to those of the other versions of the test. I am calling tomorrow because there were some issues in the QR section. I have never scored lower than mid 20s in QR and RC and I got that I was disappointed..


RC... It's all search and destroy. BUT you have to be able to retain information that you read and you must be able to read quickly. Usually the last couple of questions I was able to answer by memory and that's the only way I finished. Those pasages were too intence. Not only that long one but the last one was a BEAST with termage. 🙂 PM me
