after sifting through everyone's awesome scores i guess it's time for me to post mine albeit not as awesome as some SDNers

PAT 21
QR 21
RC 22
Bio 20
GC 20
OC 23

TS: 21
AA: 21

sGPA: 3.38
cGPA: 3.5

BIO: I used shaums and cliffs. As everyone else has been saying, it was VERY straightforward. I started off by reading shaums 3 times, but honestly this book goes into too much detail and it just got me scared (and led to some productive naps). About a week before my test I started reading APcliff's bio and I probably have to say this cleaned up a lot of concepts that I was getting confused on while reading shaums (it also uses good key words while i think some of shaums chapters explains things in a roundabout way). Both are good resources tho. if i could do it over again i would just read cliffs and then use shaums for reference. I should have scored higher in this section but I couldn't remember some basic info. I didn't have any taxonomy or hormone questions which made me sad lol. Destroyer also didn't help me much on this section.

CHEM: very straightforward. i thought it was TOO straightforward and i missed some easy ones. I read Kaplan BB and used destroyer. The destroyer concepts are great; the calculations are wayyy over the top. If I had a choice between destroyer and kaplan BB, and you were in crunch time, i would read over kaplan BB one more time.

OCHEM: I used Kaplan BB and destroyer. The destroyer is gold for this section. I just used kaplan BB for the spectroscopy/experiment sections. All the reactions were straighforward and one-step ones and I got a couple spec/ir questions.

QR: I got so freaked out for this section after reading through everyone's qr horror stories. I was relieved that there wasn't anything too tricky on my test. GET THE MATH DESTROYER. it really prepares you for the different types of word problems that are on the test. Most of the word problems that i encountered on the test were in the math destroyer. My other advice would be to do all the straight forward calculation problems first and then do the word problems. I guessed on one word problem and a couple trig ones (I had a good handful of trig problems).

RC: I didn't spend any time preparing for this since I didn't know how to lol. I got two straight forward passages on epidemiology and the central nervous system and one trickier one on floating bridges or something (i was getting very lazy by the last passage).

PAT: wah i knew angles would be the death of me. All the sections were pretty straight forward and the CDP prepares you really well for this section. Cube counting, TFE were easier than cdp. I thought keyholes tried to trick you on relative size more than cdp did. The only quip on hole punching is the smaller holes. I usually got 15's on all sections besides angles on CDP so my score would fluctuate with how i did on angle ranking (scores ranged between 21-25). I think the same applied to the real test (some of those angles were hardd).

To sum up the materials i used were:

kaplan bb
destroyer
math destroyer
shaum's bio
apcliff's bio
cdp

I applied to Midwestern, UOP, western, UCSF, UCLA, USC, tufts, BU, maryland, michigan, NYU, UNLV, case, pitt, and temple (i'm a CA resident) so hopefully I'll get an acceptance from somewhere! I am very relieved that I got 20's across the board and now it's time to play! I couldn't have done it without SDN (even though this website unnecessarily freaks me out most of the time), so THANK YOU and good luck to everyone!

I applied to 15 schools (i'm a CA resident) so hopefully I'll get an acceptance from somewhere! I am very relieved that I got 20's across the board and now it's time to play! These scores are excellent! Everything is above 20. I prefer these scores over aa 23-24 with one or two lower scores.Good luck with the rest of application!

Woot, nice job👍 and thank you for the breakdown! Do you think you would've been ok with just cliff AP for bio? I have😀 cliffs but I'm still debating over whether or not I should get Schaums also.😱

i think between destroyer, apcliffs, and kaplan you are pretty set but some people get pretty random stuff which may require shaums (it is bio so they can ask you pretty much anything!). i just thought the way shaum's was written i didn't get as much out of it as it did from cliffs even though shaum's has way more info.

good job! very consistent.

im freaked about the QR section..

would you say that the math destroyer is similar to the QR section of the Destroyer? is it just more practice problems?

thanks and good luck!

thanks! the math destroyer is great in terms of the types of word problems it gives you. I think every word problem that i encountered on the test I was familiar with from practicing the destroyer so i didn't have to think about how to do them. it's pretty accurate on what types of questions are going to be on the real test.

the difficulty level is also more on par with the real thing. hope that helps!
