I hope I don't have to retake

PA 21
QR 18
RC 21 Pianoed!
Bio 20
GC 21
OC 17 🙁
TS 19
AA 19

OGPA: 3.76
SGPA: 3.38 Will be over 3.4 once summer grades go in.
What do you guys think?

I will do a breakdown later:

But the phantom cube we had questions about was on there! Also Math destroyer problems matched up word for word with the real think. The names were even the same i'm pretty sure, and possibly even numbers!!!

On the ADA 2007 Sample I got: OC: 20 GC: 20 BIO: 19

I don't have my exact topscore scores right now but they were in the 18-19 range with 20 in OC

Achiever: 17's mostly. With 21 in Pat, 19 in RC

PA: The Keyhole and TFE are a bit simpler than any of the practice tests. Angles range from Easy to Pretty difficult. I had maybe 1 I wasn't sure about. Hole punching is easier than CDP but it's still my weak section. Cube counting: See the link http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=750887. If you get a cube that shows a face, but no edge, it is there!!! CDP is right!
I feel like I should have done better. But 21 is ok. Somehow I finished with 10 min left, and going back through, I made a bunch of cube mistake somehow!! I probably would have gotten a 16 if I didn't check.

QR: Do Math destroyer! I am really bad at math. I only finished 1.5 math destroyers because I was having so much trouble.
The Math was not as difficult as people are making it sound. I don't know how much it varies test to test. But some questions are just simple multiplication and square roots that I just put in the calculator no words! The questions were also ridiculously similar to Math Destroyer. A good number were straight from the book. With the numbers real similar. A few were exactly the same I kid you not! Unless I was going crazy, I think some of the names were the same. If you can do Math destroyer, you can do the QR section fine.

RC: Not quite as tough as Achiever's RC. I didn't study much for this section. I did get the piano section. It was not too difficult for me. It's easy compared to Achiever's RC.

Bio: This was one of my weaker sections. For the most part it was pretty simple, but I had a few questions that I didn't know because I didn't study very much for this section. I had a picture too.

GC: I was scared about this section, It was one of my weaker sections on the practice tests. I kept messing up calculations on topscore and achiever and chad. Do chads!!! The quizzes really help. The problems were super simple in this section. The calculations were also super simple.

OC: Shoot. This was the strongest section in my practice tests. The problem is I didn't study the graph stuff well. Proton NMR, mass spec, IR etc. I got 4 problems on it!! That blew my score right there. Everything else was pretty straight forward.

Goodluck guys, let me know if you have any questions.

What phantom cube are you referring to? Are u talking about the cube counting part on the PAT section or is this some math problem?

Phantom cube regards to the PAT cube counting section where you do not know if there is a cube there or not. You can argue if there is a cube because if a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound although no one was there to here it.

hm haven't run into a phantom cube yet. good to know....to watch out for them phantoms. 😀

yeah what were the tests you used to study? (kaplan, topscore, etc) and what is this phantom cube? Also, in general did you feel like the natural science (bio and orgo in particular) were easier than practice tests...I seem to get that impression from a lot of people on here. I'm taking the test on tuesday. Also-what is "pianoed"?

With regards to the "phantom cube" I was told by kaplan instructor that you NEVER assume there are cubes there if you can't see it. So just kinda a rule of thumb..

I'll post my scores and stuff later soon. But what do you guys think about the 17?

But by phantom cube, i mean one in the cube counting where you can see it, but there is no indication that it is there or not. There is a recent post post about it.

On the real DAT, I was able to deduce that it was there based on the answer choices.

Here is the link that I am talking about http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=750887

CDP is correct, and the cube should be there.

I think you'll be fine, everything I've heard is that certain schools do have minimum "cut-offs" and that they are usually 17 or lower- either way you're safe and with the rest of your scores being competitive I'm sure you'll find a place to go to school next year!

Veloce! sorry to hear that you got piano'd. But glad to hear that our cube counting discussion helped out during your exam! You had a mass spec question!??!!? goodness. I think that was the first time I heard about that. Even Chad doesn't mention about it. I wish I had NMR/IR questions cuz those topics were the last ones I studied for.. they were fresh in my mind but I got NONE 🙁 I think your GPA covers well enough for your 17! and the cut off is 17 anyways, so I think you're safe. good job and congrats on being done!

Thanks Healthcaree! Who would have though I would have gotten that cube, luckily the answer would have been 0 for one of the cube counts, so I figured out it had to have been there.

I got 4! a proton NMR, Mass spec and IR and some other one that I can't remember!!! I probably missed every one.
