Free at last. I took my test this morning and man is it relieving to be done. Now that the summer is just about over I feel like mine can just begin. My scores could be better, especially in comparison to what I've seen on here, but hopefully they will land me some interviews.
PAT - 24
QR - 21
RC - 22
BIO - 18
GC - 23
OC - 22
TS - 20
AA - 21
I studied throughout the summer whenever I had time between a summer class and work. Some days I wouldn't study at all, some days I would spend all day. It probably averaged to a 3-4 hours a day for the past 3 months.
The only resource I used to study was Kaplan, so I was pretty nervous that that wouldn't be enough, but it turned out to be all right. I wouldn't recommend taking the actual class (a waste of time/money), but the online/supplemental materials seemed to be pretty representative of the real thing - including the PAT. I would say that the angles on the real thing were a little harder but everything else was about the same.
The bio was pretty rough for me, as my score shows. I think I marked over half of them. Starting off with that was tough - I thought I was doomed. I guess I would recommend looking at other sources to get different sorts of questions - I was scoring in the 20's in bio in the Kaplan practice tests. I'm hoping that 18 doesn't hurt me too much.
I thought I killed the chemistries - especially ochem. I thought I knew every question, most of it actually seemed too easy (which is probably where I was wrong). For that reason, I was expecting higher, but I guess I'll take it. Kaplan seemed to cover everything that was tested on the real thing.
The QR and RC were also both comparable to the Kaplan practice tests. I actually thought that the RC was easier on the real thing because I had time left over (which never happened during my practice tests), but my score ended up matching what I usually got.
My GPA is 3.84 and science GPA is 3.76, I'm hoping it's enough.
