Well I just got back from the testing center and here is my breakdown.

PAT 21
QR 19
RC 20
Bio 23
GC 25
OC 28
TS 25😀😀
AA 23😀😀

Bio: Destroyer and Cliffs. I didn't think this section was as random as some people say it is. Many questions were very basic and straightforward. I spent the most time on this section which payed off.

Chem: Chads and Destroyer. I'm a chemistry major so this section was never hard for me. If you use both Chads and Destroyer you should be able to get in the 20's.

OChem: Destroyer I just finished taking OChem 1 and 2 this last year. I honestly didn't study for this section. I went through destroyer once for this section, but I love OChem.

PAT: CrackPAT. I averaged right around what I was ranging on CDP. I started out really low around a 16 and slowly got better. The best advice is to practice as much as you can. The actual PAT was very very similar to CDP.

RC: Crack the Reading. If I can get a 20 then everyone can. RC has always been my worst section on standardized testing. The three passages were interesting which helped me. Very similar to crack the reading in types of questions and passage length. I never hit a 20 on CRR.

QR: Crack the Math, Math Destroyer. I honestly don't know what happened here. I went through destroyer two times and thought I knew how to do each question, guess not.

Overall, if I can get these scores anyone can. Just have faith in yourself. I started studying June 1st. I couldn't really put much time into studying until I finished my summer classes. I studied hard for three weeks around eight-ten hours a day.

The only practice tests I used was TopScore and the KBB. The actual test was very similar to both I thought.

What do you think my chances are?
Sgpa: 3.75
Ogpa: 3.85

Also to anyone out there who is thinking about taking the DAT after there sophomore year, I would highly encourage it. I will be a junior this year and had finished all of the prerequisites for the DAT so I decided to take it early.

good job~ nice score!

thanks for the encouragement on RC. I never hit 20 on CDR either lol, mostly 17s with occasional 19. Mind asking what your scores were like on CDR?

Great Job I hope to pull out similar scores in 10 days!!!! ahhhhhh (scared, excited, but mainly ready to get it over with)

Hey f***ott

stop showing off your scores on sdn when other people havent taken them you ****ing *** ***** prick.

have some decency, youre a chemistry major?

oh then you must love stick those test tubes up your anus.

but other than that congratulations that youre done and thank you for your semi supportive message near the end of your post.

by the way youre going to get into a good dental school

Hey now, there is no need for that kind of language or disrespect on here.

OP, good job. That's awesome you just finished sophomore year and were able to score that high. Very inspirational! What upper bio classes did you take before taking the DAT?

Thank you for the breakdown! Good luck 👍

I take it you did not see the recent 24's, 27's...

Wow sick scores. Well done.

This is really interesting. If you look at the two most recent breakdowns, there is one (this one) swearing by destroyer+cliffs+topscore getting 25 TS on the actual exam, while the other one studied from destroyer+barrons (like cliffs)+topscore and gets a 17 in bio, claiming that most questions were not really from those study sources at all.

Does what test you get really make this much of a difference?

Are you sure he used Barron's Bio and not Barron's DAT?

Cuz there's a huge difference...

Nice congrats. yeah I had used Barrons AP bio. I didnt know there is a Barrons DAT either. I had taken bio 1 and 2 and thats all. Its strange that the exam can be so random. How many know classes for taxonomy but it was on my test. When I started with destroyer first time round I was getting 80% which is pretty good compared to alot of students but then my bio test had all sort of stuff which was never covered in class (and I used them for the exam which are basically campbell covered in full). I had questions ranging from radioactive c and phosphorus in research to drugs and their mechanism of action to germinal centers and cortical centers. And this is just a few of them. Maybe it was just this test but I did not understand what happened here.

Interesting - Is it possible that those questions were not knowledge based questions but required you to think a little and apply your biology knowledge?

And questions on classes?! that's intense.

nope nothing to think. It was you know it or you dont know it. Some of which I had not heard of. I had weird biome names (one e.g tropical desert) and googling shows they exist and one was the answer. 😱
