So, I have been reading threads a lot and gained a lot of advice so I am returning the favor. I took my DAT last year and received horrible scores so I decided to wait a year and take it again. I am a senior now in Biomedical Engineering with a GPA of 3.652, and tons of hours in an office with my sister who is a dentist.

So I kept postponing time after time, for 3 weeks then I got sick this week on antibiotics and I go to resechedule and theres no more slots in August at my test site so I crammed last two days and pulled an all nighter the night before which got me a lot of questions right. Dont listen to people and relax, think of it as a real test in school that you study the night before too. So I took the Kaplan class last summer, class is bad, but there stuff is good.
First month July in 3 weeks I read the whole Kaplan Review Notes Book, then discovered Chads videos and watched his videos Gchem and orgo in 4 days and learned everything i needed to know!!!! Then did 3 top score exams, bought achiever and didn't use, and used datqvault.
Bio:
On the test, i zoomed through Bio smiling at the ADA camera, but i got an 18, a big improvement from last year, but I thought i did better, my bio section was very straightforward, no randomness and I got nothing on any topics like mitosis, or dna, a lot of hormones, i probably should have done better, but what matters is the improvement I made.
GChem;
Chad is all you need, and just questions to practice long. Making improvement from last year I was happy, but I thought i did better again, but it was probably the VSPER questions I messed up, I had like 6 of them but I just dont get that concept that well. Very basic again, CHAD is enough.
OChem:
I spent so much time on Bio and Gchem that when i got to this section i had 22 minutes left for 30 problems, and everything was simple, i just rushed and the last 5 questions had to pick random answer cause 10 seconds on clock and I knew them too, very easy conceptional questions, I had only like 6 reactions
PAT:
Doable, and i dont know how to compare testing practice materials to this, everything was good, again ran out of time, i awlays leave TFE last so guessed on 5 of those
RC:
So easy and interesting science based articles. My passages were very easy. Stuff about weather and bacteria and chemistry.

Was very slow here cause freaking out of score appearing in 45 minutes, and I was scared. A lot of simple stuff from geomtery but I had forgot some simple equations and problaby would have scored higher.
Overall my DAT was much easier than all my practice tests which I was getting 14s. I studied all of July and in may and june i had summer class and read stuff here and there. Last week in July i did a lot, i relaxed a litle in first week august, last 4 days were hell up all night.
Overall I am so satisfied with my major imporvement from last years test, and if I have to retake, I will after 90 days just because I was so close to my goal of 20 and I would have gotten it if I was faster and wasnt for orgo. But then again I did well for someone on antibiotics and all stuffed up. Well see what my future entails from here.
Dont get discourage from those people getting really high scores, there only 10 percent of the entire USA which probably go the IVY schools. Being a dentist is a bout shawdowing, being well rounded, and performing well in school, and being able to show them in your interview. I went in thinking I will get same scores as last year, and then I would be done, but I saw first bio questions being easy and it boosted my spirit. Just think positive!!!! If it doesnt work the first time, keep trying if this is really what you want to do, otherwise if you stop, then it means you dont want it. i know my spellings bad, im tired and my test was a night test from 5 to 10 and i was only one left in testing center
