I just want to say that if I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT! I was very surprised with my scores, but also VERY happy.

BIO 24
GC 22
OC 21
QR 21
RC 24
PAT 21
TS 22
AA 22 😀

I had approximately 2 months to study.
Before I started studying, I took the free practice test and I remember getting about 16-17 on the Sciences. 2 months later, a day before my test date, I tried it again and it was a piece of cake.
Materials used: CHAD's videos 👍, Cliff's AP Bio, KBB, DAT Destroyer, Crack DAT Math, RC, and PAT, and a few Thinkwell videos. I was also a Biology major (graduated in May).

Bio (24) - Like everyone says, this section is VERY random. My strategy was: every question that I was unsure about, I thought for a sec, picked my answer, marked, and moved on. (I marked a good amount - at least 10) I used the time I had at the end to come back and think some more about the answer. I think that if you have a basic understanding of all the topics in biology, it is possible to do well. I read KBB (wasn't enough), then AP Bio about 2x through, reread and took notes on the topics that I didn't know very well (plants, taxonomy, photosynthesis), and watched the Thinkwell videos.

GC (22) - Very straightforward. I never really understood chemistry until I watched Chad's videos. One of the best investments you'll make for the DAT. DAT destroyer was also very good. I agree with other people, it is slightly overkill, but it is good practice and reinforces your understanding.

OC (21) - I thought this was the easiest section out of the sciences (even though its my lowest lol) Chad and DAT destroyer helped me on this too. Again DAT destroyer is overkill but it is good practice. I did the questions in sets of 30. I remember the first 30 being easy and the next 30 being really really hard. Then I discovered the roadmaps and made notecards. The questions were much easier after that.

QR (21) - The calculator helps A LOT. However you have to move kind of fast so you can get through all the questions in time. I used Crack math and DAT destroyer. I think the questions were more like the DAT destroyer. I had a few trig questions (maybe 2-3?) but they were relatively simple to solve.

RC (24) - My strategy: read the whole passage, jot down key words in each paragraph, then answer questions (search for them if you need to). I practiced with Crack Reading. I didn't try any other strategies. I just felt more comfortable reading through once to get to know the passage and then searching for the answer if I have to. The answer is most of the time verbatim in the passage.

PAT (21) - I think this section was very, very similar to CDP. The exception would probably be cube counting since the real test uses less cubes. Angles were just as tough. I couldn't tell the difference for most of them. Keyholes, TFE, and Folding were all about the same difficulty as CDP. My CDP scores were around 20-21 (and I did all 10 tests) so I guess for me CDP was pretty representative of the real deal.

I've already applied, but I was wondering what schools you guys would recommend? I'm from Indiana.
Well if you have any questions, just ask. 🙂 Good luck to all of you!!

GREAT JOB!!! I wish I had your QR score!!!

Great scores!
I'm practicing for RC with Crack DAT Reading right now- just wondering, what were your scores on them?
