I took my DAT yesterday and got these scores...
PAT: 21
QR: 19
RC: 17 👎
BIO: 22
GC: 25 😍
OC: 28
TS: 24
AA: 22
I'll post my breakdown in a bit when I have more time
but i'm really scared about a 17 on RC does anyone know if it's ok? sigh =/
&&&& I want to thank SDN so SOO MUCH. This is my second post but i've been stalking every single breakdown like a crazy ex-girlfriend... 😵 (since May) LOL
I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend just reading breakdowns because they are just inspiring =) makes me know that hardwork will pay off!
oh btw i'm going into my junior this fall so I'm not applying till next cycle
*UPDATED*
Quick thoughts on the test:
-It was def a lot easier than any of the practice test I took (except QR & RC).
-GC and OC were kind of a joke compared to the DAT destroyer. If you can get about 80% of the DAT destroyer right you are probably set for these two sections 🙂
-I was expecting a 19-20 on the bio because a lot of questions were application questions and I wasn't 100% sure on quite a few
-I studied for about 3 months while doing research from 9am-5pm so it was pretty stressful.. I DO NOT recommend doing anything while you are studying. it's just too stressful.. D:
SPECIFIC BREAKDOWN:
PAT: I got Crack DAT PAT and scored a 18 the first try. Angles were my worst nightmare I just could not tell them apart to save my life.. I did get a little in the end thou haha. I did only about 5 tests in Crack DAT PAT and got an avg about a 22. Then I bought the DAT Achiever and the PAT made me want to cry. It was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder than Crack DAT PAT.. but it is great practice for keyholes and TFE because the actual DAT probably is a mix of crack dat and achiever pat for those 2 subsections.
QR: I'm okay with this score.. i scored really high in datQvault but i knew the actual DAT was not going to be that easy because a lot of people struggle with it. I did the Math Destroyer once and got around 5 questions wrong for each test (UNTIMED) i didnt time myself because I knew that I would get my timing training down with all the other preps.. and I don't like being under stress all the time =/ just studying for the test was stressful enough.. I used datQvault, Topscore, achiever to time myself.
RC: i want to cry. i couldnt even truly be happy with my score because of this 17. I would be so sad if this was going to be the reason why i dont get accepted.. =/ and in all honesty I dont think i will be able to improve my score all that much even if i took it a second time. English is my second language but that can't really be an excuse.. i don't know it's just super depressing.. SIGH! I used Crack DAT reading and I HATED it. it's good practice.. but i hated it because well.. I got awful scores LOL.
BIO: I've always had a pretty solid biology background. My teacher in highschool for AP bio was amazing and I retained a lot from back then.. so even the college courses were a breeze for me. HOWEVER.. I knew i would not be able to score super high in this section because it's super random. I did study a lot for this section thou, I watched chad's bio vids, dat destroyer (amaaaaaaazing), Alan's notes, KBB, CLIFFNOTES (<3 had this book since highschool), datQvault (i'm pretty sure there were some identical Q's on the actual DAT from this.. NOT entirely sure because I did so many problems from everywhere ~.~) I like writing down notes because it helps me retain more.
GC &OC: CHAD CHAD CHAD CHADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD yeahh. it's getting kinda old but yes chad is just that amazing.. he shows up in almost every single breakdown =) DAT destroyer and the Orgoman destroyer book are awesome I did GC 3 times. orgoman 2 times. ochem in the dat destroyer 2 times. i made insane note cards out of ALL the reactions. and i went over my chads notes and questions 3 times.
yup! I made 2 of those. it was very fun. I think having notes that are nice and pretty makes me want to study more... 😀

2009 ADA pretty good i liked it a lot except there were mistakes so def check sdn for those and see which ones are wrong.

ACHIEVER: overall.. i dont think it was worth the money.. it's way too hard none of the questions were representative.. it's a confidence killer and meh maybe the three tests version would have been better 7 tests is only for those TRUE.. ACHIEVERS. lol and.. i am not one of those

This might sound a little weird but I think studying for the DAT is actually a pretty nice experience =) I proved to myself I can actually become a hermit and just hardcore study for something for 3 months haha. of course there are days when I get extremely burnt out and just want to chill.. that is when YOUTUBE is daaa bestttt. =) I just watch funny videos and get a laugh and relax. uhh i have a 3.9gpa so maybe hopefully that could help with the low rc? sigh. sorry this is prob the hardest breakdown to read because it is extremely unorganized.. i'm kinda just typing it as i think of it =( and i'm too lazy to read over it =/ and sorry for the typos and grammar errors =/ but i hope this breakdown helped someone get some confidence 😀 if you have and questions feel free to ask and I will try my best to help =) GOOD LUCK TO THOSE THAT ARE TAKING IT SOON YOU WILL DO AMAZING!! 🙂

Quick thoughts on the test:

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I'm about to take on the Achiever in a week or two after I'm finished with the practice sections on datQvault.
