This is my first post on this forum but I have been snooping around on this site since last year. I wanted to thank anyone that has helped me through their responses to my PM's. This is my second time taking the test the first time I got frapped! All I can say is that what you get on the DAT depends on what test you get. If you study and get a fair test their is no reason not to get above 19's in all sections. Take my advice if you dont get a good test and end up not doing a good as you wanted to dont settle. I applied with my old scoreslast year and got into UPENN and NYU. Since I am a spoiled Persian Jew I didn't have the balls to move away. At the moment I am on the waitlist for UCLA for we will see what happens when I take them my new scores tomorrow. Since I enjoyed the breakdowns so much on this website, Ill give it a shot this year.
First my scores:
PAT : 21 +4
QR : 19 -1
RC : 22 + 5
Bio: 26 +6
GC: 24 +3
OC : 26 +3
TS: 25 +4
AA: 23 +3
PAT: Way easier than anything. If you understand CRACK you are good. I was getting everywhere from 19-21 on crack, mostly 20's though. Key Holes and TFE are exacly like crack. Hole punching was easier than crack, a couple tough ones though. Pattern folding was harder though. And Cube counting was wayyyyyy easier than crack. I did not take topscore I cant tell you about it. Achievers PAT sux it will do nothing more than hurt your confidence and make you second guess yourself on the real test. I dont like it. But his customer service and science is great!
QR: I can say only one thing skip, dont be stupid nd waste time on the DATS bull**** word problems. Try to get as many points as you can on the easy questions and come back to the res. The QR isn't hard its just the word problems are tooo wordyyy. If you want to do well on the word problems do purple math @ purplemath.com its free!
RC: Look I dont know what to say about my score, I was not expecting a 22. I used search and detroy, yes people it works. The answer choices for the tone questions are sooo BS you can pick the right answer w/out reading the passage. Honestly it all depends on the passages that you get. I hate the ADA for this. This is really not fair and I really want to complain. Honestly my diag scores on RC were a lot higher last year and I was a lot more worried this year. All I can say is practice and dont spend too much time on the same question. Skip!!!!! Dont worry its ok not to get a 25 in RC all you need is to break 18, 19, 20.
Bio: Yes there were a few randon questions but nothing a little bit of thinking cant figure. People if you see questions that you dont recognize dont get nervoussssssss. Just read the question and cancel out the BS answer choices you can round all weird questions down to two choices. But there were a lot of easy ones at least 35. Even though Dr. Romano and Nancy didn't respond to my emails this year I'll still give them credit. Know it, sleep with it. I really would like to know why Dr. Romano didnt respond to me though. If you read this PM me please. I dont want to bash him he really helped me on my test last time so I still love him. Make sure to focus on everything even the solutionss 😉. I studied using Princeton DAT bio with the Kaplan subject tests and tutorials.
GC: Not that bad at all know you basics do Destroyer. Way easier than any Kaplan Diag you will take I promise. Kaplan is the best to get down the info, and for pracice.
OC: Again know your basics you dont need to go crazy with all the weird reactions. Road Maps are great. I didnt have any stereochem which really surprised me. Kaplan is great for the info Destroyer is good for practice.
my diag scores are really not representative b/c I took them all once before last year. Diags dont mean ishtt. All you people that breakdown and cry bc u get 18s dont! And all you people getting 22's dont get tooo cocky b/c it doesnt mean anything. Just take the tests to learn.
This past year has honestly been one of the worst years ever. The DAT is really the worst possible test bc the test you get determines everything. The bad thing is that all these dental schools put more emphasis DAT than your gpa. I really want to go to UCLA or USC. I hope both school can see that I am a good student afterall.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. I would love to help anyone. please just dont ask me to tell you any test questions.

By the way I studied like an animal for the past 2-3 months. All day everyday, I dont recommend it.
