and thank you everyone, you have been a great help.
Bio20
chem18
orgo18
Pat23
RC20
Qr17
For some weird reason i actually did worse than practice tests where I was mostly getting in 20s.
i used crack dat, bootcamp, kaplan and dat destroyer.
crack dat scores for
bio 16/19/17/19/18/19
chem 19/17/18/18/18/17/19
org 19/16/13/15/18/19/1/9
pat 16/17/18/18/19/18/19/
math 19/18/19/17/18/19/18
RC 16/15/16/15/16/14/16
kaplan was giving me scores way too low to even post here so i just stopped since it was way too discouraging. the whole $1200 course is a rip off.
bootcamp was pretty similar to the real one even though I was actually scoring better than the real exam.
bio chem org Pat Rc Qr
test1 17 18 19 16 17 18
test2 18 19 21 20 17 19
test3 17 19 20 20 15 18
test4 24 20 19 20 21 18
test5 22 20 20 19 22 19
For Bio. bootcamp, cliff notes and dat destroyer are enough. kaplan review book is good too but doesn't cover everything. crack dat didn't really have similar questions and kaplan course was just waste of money. dat bootcamp was pretty on the spot but you should only do it when you are a bit prepared to see where yuou stand so you can go back and study that.
For Chem. chad is awesome plus for practice dat destroyer and bootcamp should be enough. on the real dat, it was much more conceptual stuff rather than calculations but every question took a lot more time.
for orgo. the road maps in dat destroyer helped a lotttt plus chad. for practice dat destroyer and crack dat are both good. kaplan is just stupid. i swear i want all my money back :/
for pat, crack dat was good practice plus the bootcamp generators are really helpful. the real dat pat was much easier than any of the exams.
for rc, the only method i think that works on the real dat is viviciper or search and destroy. kaplan was telling how to look for key words and take notes but as u can see from my bootcamp scores for 1st three test that it wansn't working for me. plus crack dat questions are not really like the real dat pat. there aren't that many tone questions. infact, my last article's questions were alll about specific words in specific paragraphs where taking notes wouldn't have helped at all.
for qr, i messed up :/ i was doing much better on crack dat and bootcamp or even destroyer so idk what happened there.
I just wanna say, Thank you soooo much chad and Ari. You two are the best when it comes to DAT preparation.
Now that that's done i am worried if i will get in with these scores.😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
i have a 3.2 over all gpa and 3.4 in sciences plus i have done 2yrs of research with a professor and i have a B.S in biology with honors. i have taken all the required courses plus the A&Ps , immunology, biochem, histology, genetics and evolution which are all higher level biology courses. and i have volunteered and worked with a dentist for 3yrs.
what do you guys think? how many schools should i apply and if i have a good chance of getting in?
