Im really stoked about how I did today. I aimed for getting a balanced score and thats exactly what I got.
sGPA: 3.9
cGPA: 3.85
BIO: 24 (98.7)
GC: 23 (95.0)
OC: 21 (87.6)
PAT: 20 (85.4)
RC: 22 (90.3)
QR: 22 (95.7)
TS: 23 (98.2) 😍
AA: 22 (96.4)
BIO: I used Cliffs, Barrons & Kaplan. I read through the texts once and then I made flashcards and regularly studied my flashcards. Before I began reading any of these texts I studied my old flashcards from my regular bio classes to help refresh a lot of things so then I could read & understand the material faster. Anything that I was foggy on or new I would make a flashcard of and study. I found cliffs to be more thorough than Barron's but Barron's had much better images which solidified my understanding. At $20/book I would recommend using both.
GC: Chad is awesome. The difficulty of his quizzes is about on par as the DAT. Destroyer is overkill but worth doing. I felt as if Kaplan and Destroyer was always trying to trick me.
OC: Roadmaps of Destroyer w/ Chad and you're all set. Kaplan is about on par with the test questions.
RC: I did not really study for this section. I got really lucky with the passages I got because I was familiar with the topics and S&D worked really well.
QR: Math destroyer is awesome for this. I've always been good at Math but as everyone says time is the issue. I totally agree. To help my timing I practiced with Math Destroyer and doing it under 40min (instead of the 45 you get). There were questions that were too tedious and difficult so I just made an educated guess and moved on. You can usually eliminate one or two choices if you think about the question.
Im a CA resident applying to UCLA, UCSF, UCS, UOP, Columbia, Penn, Boston, Tufts, UNC and Western.
