My GPAs are...
Overall: 3.48
Science: 3.35

I'm hoping the increase in some of the scores will give me a better chance in this cycle. Any feed back would be helpful. I submitted my app August 1st. I applied to 13 schools, 5 in cali (im a cali resident). I just re submitted my dat scores, im hoping it gets to all the school in time. So what do you guys think of my chances??😳

So here is my breakdown:

Bio
I looked at Kaplan blue book and destroyer. Both really helpful but I honestly think this is one section you can fully be prepared for. For the most part kaplan was good enough but there were some questions on there that were just way out there. I suggest some more outside material like Cliffs, seems like everybody says good things about it. But best advice i can give on this sections is know kaplan inside out and ull be able to get a 19/20 easy.

GChem

I think destroyer was pretty good for this section. I never liked gchem so its just not my thing but like i said destroyer helped me the most here. For the most part of the exam it was mathmatical based questions so that ate up alot of time.

OChem

I thought this was the eaiest section. I read over kaplan alot but once again destroyer was key hear. the road maps were a good refresher and helped make a foundation for all the reactions. There were a few Cnmr and some questions about using the correct instrument in a ochem lab. all in all kaplan and destroyer are enough for this sections.

PAT

The best way to prepare for this is just doing alot of practice questions. You start to see a little bit of a pattern after awhile. I thought the PAT was alot easier this time around then last time.

QR

Cant offer much advice on this section. Math just isnt my thing. One thing i could sy is that there were a good amount of word problems so be prepared for those.

RC

This was the main reason i retook the DAT. I think where i went wrong in the first test was that i used kaplans method. It didnt work for me. This time around i just read through it and answered the questions at the end. This method helped out alot with the ethics and tone questions.

Materials used:

Kaplan blue book, Topscore, Destroyer.

So thats my two cents. If any one has any questions I'd love to help out. hope to hear from you guys.

congrats! would you say topscore is pretty accurate for scoring? i heard achiever is a lot tougher but not sure about topscore.

Great job man! you made a HUGE jump with that RC. So you thought the whole scanning and road map thing wasn't so great? I'm worried this strategy will collapse on me for the real thing too. but then again, I dno if I could actually read the passages all the way through like you said did..

Congrats !!! That's definitely nice improvement. Relax now.

In regards to top score id say its pretty good with giving you an idea of how well ull do on the exam. I got right around the same scores i was getting on topscore so yea i liked it.

As for my strategy with the RC...i think what i did doesn't really work for everyone. i don't like kaplans method because when i took the test the first time that method fell apart on me, maybe i just wasn't solid on the method.

Wow, nice improvement. I'm sure schools will like to see that.
