ok, so i took the kaplan course, and it has it's good and bad points. i won't go too deeply into it as other forums already explore this topic (i will, however, reiterate that the in-class lectures are a waste of time), so here's what i did:
Biology: All of the kaplan online workshops and flashcards + Barron's AP Biology. Kaplan's biology isn't too thorough though. supplement with Barron's or some other Anatomy/Physiology book.
GenChem: Kaplan was enough for me - i haven't done genchem in 5 years or so, and i thought it covered all the bases.
Ochem: Kaplan was so so, but i just finished second semester Ochem, so i had to study my a** off for the ACS exam. the ACS Studyguide is definately topnotch DAT practice.
PAT: kaplan. pretty standard i'm sure. i used to be an engineering and drafter, so all the angles and 3d stuff is second nature. Kaplan angles are too easy though - on test day, there were angle questions in which every angle seemed to be identical. so definitely use CrackthePat or whatever to supplement.
RC: This is defininately one of Kaplan's strong points. the passages imo were definately more challenging than the passages i had test day.
QR: i didn't spend too much time studying for this section as my score reveals. just kaplan, but there are definately better sources (DAT Destroyer).
i also took the Barron's Dat Full-Length tests - good, tough questions.
