So this is the biggest failure of my life ><. I was so unhappy with my score and my current GPA is 3.5. I tried to complete my app as early as possible and I believed the majority of schools I applied for received my app around Jul 31. I'm going to retake DAT on October 11 but I don't have much hope for it, because the official score must be received by Oct 15 for most of the school. Plus, I am an international student...and I was very nervous so I applied 10 schools. What are my chances...? Most of my schools are private...

Your scores are on target and gpa is on target. Your 17 is RC is understandable since you are an international student and I am sure schools will understand. Unless you applied to only top schools (Harvard, UPenn, Columbia), I would not be too concerned if I were you. Since you submitted your application early in the process to private schools, I would not be too concerned if I were you. Just make sure you have very good recommendations and great extra curricular and you are set. If you want additional comfort, call up the schools and ask them what they think!

Best of luck and I am sure you will be granted an interview!

QR doesn't matter.

RC meets the cutoffs, and as a Vietnamese, I'm wondering if you qualify as an URM (Underrepresented Minority).

If you retake in October, that's definitely too late. Get your DAT score in asap. With a 19/20/19 and a 3.5 GPA, you're right where you need to be!

Okay Aqz. You told me I need to retake but not this person. Hmmm I got the same AA... plus my gpa is like 0.5 higher.... and I am NOT an international student but still an ESL student who moved here at age of 14.

I've been trying my best to give everyone my honest advice and trying my best to help them with their practice problems. And for what? I'm not getting jack out of this, I don't even know any of these people. It's purely my pleasure to help out.

If you don't believe in what I have to say, then don't listen to it. Calling other people names because of your own incapability is just sad. 👎

lol dude , dont listen to anybody on sdn. it is just a site where worried predents go to judge one another and freak out during the app cycle and every1 should realize that. adcoms probably view each individual application seperatley and thoroughly. what ppl say on sdn is a huge generalization. there are exceptions to every admission/ acceptance
