Hey guys,
I'm so glad the DAT is over. I studied for about a month while working and then about 2 weeks straight without working.

Results:
PAT 23 (96.4)
QR 19 (91.2)
RC 19 (52.2)
BIO 20 (88.0)
GC 23 (95.4)
OC 23 (94.4)
TS 22 (95.6)
AA 21 (93.4)

Had PAT 21 TS 19 AA 19 on my first DAT (June 09)

My calculated GPA was around 3.1 if I'm remembering right.
Hopefully I'll make it in this cycle. I still need to submit AADSAS.. need to do that fast.

BIO - Used Cliffs AP Bio and Barron's AP Bio. Not much to discuss here as this section is so random. They did ask a few very specific questions so.. prepare accordingly.

PAT - Didn't spend much time for this section, oh I'd say probably less than 4-5 days max. The first part and the counting cubes were probably the easiest. I ran into some trouble on top, front and end. Thought they were just as difficult, if not harder, as crack dat pat. Angle ranking is very similar to crack dat pat which are very annoying problems. Hole punching, I had quite a few questions with diagonally folded paper so be prepared for those.

QR - Used Math Destroyer and got tired of solving questions stopped on test 5. Seemed much easier than the last year's. A few conversion problems and lots of worded problems. Also a few easy statistics questions. IMHO, I think you should be able to get by without using math destroyer.

GC and OC - used Chad's videos. Just know the basics and you'll be fine.

Reading? haha, I didn't even bother. English is my 2nd language.

Your comments are welcomed.

Congrats!! Nice scores... you better submit that app ASAP. Also did you take any TopScore or Achiever test? Can you post those scores if you did thanks! And good luck!! :luck:

oh yea I totally forgot to mention that I used topscore. But I didn't keep up with the scores, I used it mainly to study science sections. I hated its PAT section because the drawings are horrible on it.

For QR, did you think it was harder than Math destroyer practice tests?

Well done!! What happened in the last cycle? Where did you apply? Did you get any interviews?

Thank you.

I applied to 5+ schools but only got one interview at Memphis. But I got put on alternate list.

I understand your feeling.. I've been there, but don't worry. The good news is that people seemed to get higher score on the actual DAT than his or her topscore/achiever scores. The bad news is that you will be very hungry during the test

If you have a pretty good background in math you shouldn't worry too much. Even if you don't, most problems can be solved pretty quickly just by plugging in answer choices.

Yes submit fast! And awesome scores by the way! I think you have a good chance, and I wish you luck! With so many great scores this year, I wonder if the percentages will get skewed..

Thank you.

So where should I apply to? I've looked at a few schools. (No in-state school for me)

UCSF
NYU
Tufts
Boston
UT Memphis
Baylor
UMKC
UPenn
UoP

Should I apply to more schools?
Do any of these schools require high GPA? I know Memphis only cares about GPA but thought I'd try again.
