Man I am so glad to be done with this. I studied all summer long (5-6 hours a day). The test wasn't too bad.
Lets cut to the chase:
Scores:
Percentile
PA: 18 63.7 🙁
QR: 19 81.9
RC: 18 38.1
Bi: 18 61.9 🙁
GC: 22 88.7
GC: 24 94.4 🙂
TS: 21 91.3
AA: 20 84.0
Perceptual:
If you have Crack PAT, you will do fine. I had the ten test version, but for some reason I didn't do too good at all ( i guess i was nervous)
Everything wasn't that hard, the only ones that I had a problem with were the TFE and the angles, everything else is easy. The only way to improve in this section is to practice practice practice. My score in the CPAT were from 18-22.
Math:
This section was really easy. I had like 5-6 questions that I didn't even look at. Time is a killer in this section. Need to practice on the stamina and word problems.
Use this site to practice with different types of word problems, it helped me: http://www.mathplayground.com/wordproblems.html
Reading:
I had the floating bridge, the spinal cord and epidi.... something. It wasn't that hard. Search and destroy worked for 2 of the passages but the floating bridge you must read and understand totally. I have a hard time understanding passages, so this came and bit me in my *****.
GC:
this section was really easy. REALLY easy. I am pretty sure that I miss some stupid questions. I studied Kaplan BB, Destroyer, and my Chem book from college.
OG:
this section was easy too. If you want to do well on this section, STUDY THE ROAD MAP in destroyer. Study all the reactions and you'll do fine. I had the destroyer, Kaplan and my college book.
Bio:
This section was horrible. I studied the most for Bio and this is what I get. It was sooooooo hard. Questions I never seen before and most of what I studied didn't even come, I was soo pissed off. But I guess you should study the whole bio book from A to Z if you don't want to miss any. I had the destroyer, my bio book, Kaplan BB and some notes from here and there.
Overall:
I think this exam wasn't too hard. I guess, since it's my first time taking it, when your nervous you don't do too well. Also since I only have Bio I and Bio II classes done and I didn't take any higher Bio classes, I'm Ok with the Bio grade for now.
My topscore scores:
Test # 1
B / GC / OC / PA / QR / CR / TS / AA
19/ 19/ 23 / 18 / 20 / 17 / 20/ 20
Test # 2
B / GC / OC / PA / QR / CR / TS / AA
17 / 21/ 20 / 20 / 22 / 19/ 19/ 20
Test # 3
B / GC / OC / PA / QR / CR / TS / AA
19/ 19/ 21/ 20/ 20/ 20/ 20/ 20
My Story:
So, I graduated from High School on June 2008, and went to a Community college where I finished 60 hours of classes in one year. In the Fall of 2009, I am starting my junior year doing Clinical Laboratory Science. I want to skip my senior year and go to dental school. I have a 4.0 GPA, good leadership possessions. Good amount of volunteer. I am going to start shadowing right away (may be starting next week or this week.)
So my questions for you are:
1) Is it too late for me to apply for this cycle?
2) If I applied what are my chances?
3) Do you think I should retake the exam?
Any advice and comment is appreciated.
Thanks again to everyone in this forum. You guys helped me alot.
THANK YOU🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
