Here are my scores for DAT:
PA 22 93.4%
QR 21 96.4%
RC 23 89.8%
Bio 19 76.6% 😴
GC 26 98.8%
OC 23 94.4%
TS 22 95.6%
AA 22 97%
I studied all summer but not everyday..and not for 10 hours like some poeple do. I would say about 3 months of studying 15hrs/wk the first month and maybe more in the second month. the third months about 30hrs/wk. i took alot of days off studying so i guess i could have learned everything in 2months if i studied nonstop. and i resheduled 5 times lol i kept panicking because i have already applied and didnt want that to be a waste.
Breakdown:
PAT- i used crack dat pat...i think overall its great and the same level as the dat. hole punching on dat is easier.
QR- kaplan blue book, dat destroyer, math destroyer, crack dat math....i only did 2 destroyer tests and did horrible and its way harder than dat. learn how to do problems in destroyer and know formulas...practice strategy and timing on crack dat math which is key. its all about doing the easy ones first then attempt the word problems because you will run out of time its inevitable! topscore also is good to practice.
RC- i think the best approach is to read the entire passage or most of it. i practice a few crack dat reading which was good. on the real dat i read half the passage then began questions and i finished early. my passages were very easy to understand for a bio major and it just seemed pretty easy overall. i didnt get piano.
BIO- so random im glad i didnt spend most of my time studying this. im a bio major and alot of the questions i had no clue and i didnt see them in kaplan or cliffs. so if you have time reading a bio book like cambells may be best althought thats alot!. i feel like there werent any basic questions on the test pretty tough
GC- chad, destroyer, kaplan- know these materials and dat is a piece of cake. destroyer is neccesarry to master basic skills needed for test, but is overkill.
OC- same as gen chem
I did topscore science sections individually and i didnt do to well, but i think there great to know your timing and help you to make stupid mistakes and learn form them. so get this to simulate sciences.
So I have a 3.5 gpa and my committee letter if in the process of going out they wait for scores before sending it out🙁. so my app probly wont be complete until end of september or first week oct.. i thinking i have good enough scores that it wont be too late?? feedback on timeliness of app would be appreciated!!
