SO i finally took my DATs today 6/19 and my scores were as follows:

PA: 18 (61.1%)
QR 19 (84.9%)
RC: 20 (72.4%)
BIO: 18 (64.6%)
GC: 21 (87.4%)
OC: 16 (39.3%)
TS: 18 (63.8%)
AA: 19 (77.2%)

So i'm not at all happy with my scores. I studied with Kaplan, Crack PAT, Achiever and Destroyer and these set of scores on average were about my lowest set of scores I got on any of my mock exams :/ I was hoping to at least break 20 for sure and I was averaging/betting on getting a 21 average. Very upset at myself. My average sGPA is about a 3.7 and I'm a junior that went out with a 4.0 this year! and my cGPA is about a 3.6. I also have LOTS of shadowing in hospitals (as I was pre-med initially) and dentist's office, extracurricular activities and a overall good resume! Freshman year I pretty much got straight B's, sophomore year about half and half and then this year went out with a 4.0, a bang! So i have that steep positive trend going for me as well. What do you think my odds are getting into most schools? My only real outlier was Orgo and I'm worried if I retake that I will do better on my Orgo section but my other sections won't improve that much since most of them weren't that bad and I've heard unless you're going to do 2+ points better on each section to (as a rule of thumb) not retake.

What do you guys think? PLEASE HELP. I'm the first born person in my family to graduate a University and receive a degree in general and thus obviously the first to apply to professional school. I'm just so upset at myself because I know I could have done better. Do you think I should stick with these scores or retake them because 90 days from now would mean real close to the final deadline for DATs.

Thanks in advance!

Normally I don't recommend a retake on a 19AA but your problem is, you have a 16 in a science section (orgo).... this might give you lotta trouble.

I am NOT SUGGESTING YOU HAVE TO RETAKE.... but I think its recommended.

If you decide to keep your scores, call up every single school ur interested in and tell them exactly your situation....see what they tell you.

Thanks dentalWorks and I realize that. I was expecting a 20, 21 overall but even a 19 i would totally take and I'm hoping that section won't hurt me too much considering my other scores and my transcript and grades and letters of recommendations

babaksheed. i think thats a retake. two science sections are below 19s, and both your PAT and TS are below 19s .

I Agree with this, but I would also add it to check the requirements of each school. I know Michigan, for example, requires a score of at least 17 on every section. Good job overall though, and good luck
