Heres my breakdown,

PA 20 %85.4
QR 16 %53.2
RC 19 %59.7
Bio 22 %95.7
G Chem 18 %61.7
O Chem 18 %62.6
TS 19
AA 19

I know the scores aren't very high, but will I have a chance to get into dental school with these scores? The calculating problems in G chem seem a little different than what I was use to, did anyone notice that too? Oh and by the way I have a 3.3 gpa and still taking classes and applying for fall 2010. Thanks for the input.

I think your scores are on the average. It would be great to try to retake it to be a more competitive applicant. But it is kinda late to retake it too...

That would depend on what school you are applying to though, some deadlines aren't until Feb.

Yeah I know. But, if he/she retakes it around Christmas time, schools will be receiving the scores by around the deadline. I was just saying it would hinder the chance of getting interviews. It is totally his/her decision to retake it or not.

What do you mean when you say different? Did you not encounter those kinds of questions when studying..or?

Thanks for the input guys, I forgot to add this, but that was my third DAT. 1st time was just an experiment and my second DAT I had:
17 PAT, 14 QR, 21 RC, 18 Bio, 19 Ochem, 21 Gchem, 19AA, 19TS.
To me the Gchem's problem solving question seem a lot different than destroyers and achievers, and the questions wasn't as direct as last time i took it. Since its my third, I don't know if I should retake it again for the 4th time. I heard that after your third, it doesn't look very well. What do you guys think in my case?

In what ways are they different, could you be more specific? I'm studying using destroyer so I'm trying to figure out what you mean. Thanks.

"In what ways are they different, could you be more specific? I'm studying using destroyer so I'm trying to figure out what you mean. Thanks."

The questions were more application base than getting the numbers and plugging it into a formula, to me the destroyer was way to straight forward. I was able to solve 90% of the question just by looking at the numbers. However DAT wasn't as obvious, to be more specific, say that you have a q=msdeltaT type of question. They'll give you numbers, but you are going to have to use that formula in a totally different way and apply your understanding of it to get whichever variable they are asking for you. Sorry I can't remember a specific question from the test, it hurts my head to try to think back. What I would do is, to learn how to use your formulas in different ways, and the Gchem concept question were the same as what I practiced with so don't worry about those too much.
