I feel so relieved to finally be done with this awful test. Thanks to all who post their break downs, I really enjoyed reading everyone's breakdown, and hearing what materials helped people the most.
This is my 3rd time to take the DAT thanks to KAPLAN 😡 I took the kaplan course last summer and thought it would prepare me(which it did not). At the end of the course in August I took my DAT and got a 16AA after already applying to school spending nearly 2 Grand in application and supplemental fees (12 schools) . Unfortunately I had a full course load in the fall while working as a dental assistant and in the computer tech center @ school. By December I had received nothing but rejections. I knew I had to get my DAT up so all that money was not wasted. I then studied for 4 weeks over Christmas break using Kaplan once again and the 2007 ada test. At the end of January I got a 18AA 19TS 17 PAT (Way easier than the test I took today). Unfortunately I was past a lot of the schools cut of dates for retaking the DAT and had been turned down by others. Luckily I was able to lock up 1 interview and was wait-listed. As you can see I ended up not getting into a dental school and decided to return back to my undergrad for 1 additional year to pick Up a dual major Bio + Healthsci.
I just got home from the testing center and did not do as well as I would have liked however I worked for the scores I received today, hopefully I should be able to get a few interviews
. As I was wait listed last year

Fortunately a friend Introduced me to SDN where I learned about Chad, Destroyer, and CDP. I spent roughly 1 month ~6 hrs a day studying. I started Out watching Chads videos for GC + OC (2x) Chad is a life saver! I then read Cliffs AP Bio 3rd edition .pdf which I found online for free. Next I moved to DAT Destroyer 1(x) 🙁 wish I had more time to get it in a second, also I only made it through Math Destroyer Test 1-8 due to the lack of time. Mixed in with all of these I managed to review Allans notes and take CDP test 1-5 (17,18,20,21,20) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ud0ZX0eEFA (awesome method). During my final week I crammed 2009 ADA, OAT, Destroyer Bio one more time, and review my notes from Chads along with Allans notes all while attending classes.
Chad, DAT Destroyer 2012, Math Destoyer 2012, CDP, Cliffs, Alans notes, 2007 ADA, and OAT are all a must have!!
All in all I am a little disappointed I did not hit a 20AA I feel my third test was the hardest of the 3 I have taken. However 19/19/20 is still above average and hopefully I can lock up a few interviews. I am so relieved to be done 😀 as I have worked hard for the scores I got. Now I can focus on my classes. Thanks to all who post on here and let me know if you have any questions 🙂
