hey guys, i first wanted to thank everyone for their help throughout the process. i took my dat today, and did ok. im going to give u guys a breakdown of each section because i thought it was very helpful when i was studying.
biology- random as everyone said, but destroyer can focus ur studying on randomness. u have got to know destroyer by heart to do good
gchem- both conceptual and calculation, no set-up calculation, but u had to do them all to get to the answers. destroyer is good for this, but a bit too hard.
ochem- everything easy except cnmr and IR. the reactions are the most basic destroyer reactions. know bp, mp, branching, etc.
PAT- VERY HARDDDD. I was scoring above 21 on ALL my practice test and i score 19-22 on CDP and i ended up with lowest score. Unlike everyone said, the cube counting were really hard. key whole hard, hole-punch VERY HARD. i think cdp is a very good practice, but the actual thing is harder or same level in all of the sections.
RC- super hard, dont know what to say
QR- full of word problems and triggs. know everything u can for this. i didnt prepare for it and it lowered my aa
Overal, i used mostly kaplan and destroyer. I think destroyer DESTROYS the DAT. learn it and know the reason behind each concept. It was best for all sections. the math is easier on destroyer, but there were same type of word problems.
and if u are wondering how i did, i did above average in the most part.
