Ochem,Gchem It is really straightforward. For this section, i use Kaplan blue book first, then use destroyer for doing practice. If you are short on time, Kaplan blue book is enough (you sure can get 20+ just doing Kaplan blue book questions after every chapter on blue book). Destroyer is overkill but it is really good practice.

Biology: I use Cliff AP bio. It is an excellent tool, i read it twice. After reading Cliff 2 times, i move on to destroyer bio questions. Some of destroyer bio questions are not in Cliff, i use Wikipidea. There are some really random question on these but 90% is straight from Cliff, trust me on this😀

PAT: Kaplan is too easy. I use CDP. Beware that the keyholes on the real test is harder.The angles are so hard on the real test. Angles' difficulty are the same as CDP. The pattern folding and TFE are the same level as CDP.

On my first test, i got 15 and got rejected on every school (only interview at 2 schools but after 3 month waiting i got rejected and waitlisted). On my first test, i use Search and Destroy, which was not working for me s. On my second test, i used different technique: I wrote down the keyword of first 5 questions and go to reading paragraph. I repeated this for the next several questions. I think this HELPS NOT TO WASTE YOUR TIME by writing down the keywords of the questions, and not on paragraph as Kaplan taught us.

Math: i have no advice, lots of word questions. I use CDM and it does not help me!


My questions for you guys: I rather DIE and work at Mcdonald than to retake the test again. But i am still worry that math score will hinder me getting accepted to dental school. What should i do? Choose schools wisely?
Is it true that school shut you off if you have 1 score (math) below 15.

I think you ll be fine if you apply to schools wisely. There are schools that prefer all sections above 15 so you might want to avoid them.

Great scores! If you had even got a 18ish on the QR, your AA would have been insane! I'm sort of in the same boat as you with the 14 QR and 19 PAT, but your other scores (especially TS) are great. I think you should roll the dice, apply early, and wait for the interviews!

I'm in a similar boat. Your scores are a little higher though. I couldn't believe it when I saw my scores. I almost fainted. A 14?! I didn't know what to do.

Sweet scores! Congrats.
Don't worry too much about your QR. Any schools that wants to ignore all your other scores and reject you because of the stupid QR isn't worth attending anyways.

my kaplan blue book doesn't have problems after each chapteres. It only has 1 practice exam all the way at the back.

Hey my weakness is reading! I read science articles everyday and i also use the Mcat Verbal reasoning, which i think helps me tremendously 🙂

If you read cliff alone and do the questions there, guaranteed a 20!
I had 2 questions straight from Cliff

Yes, you are able to mark the question. At the end, it has 3 section: Marked questions, Incomplete, Review all
For my testing center, i am not supposed to go outside building!

It is really easy BUT you have to understand the fundamental concept not just memorize!

(I actually just ordered cliff AP bio online, which edition you used?), did you do any full length practice tests? I bought topscore..which one did u use??? thx for helping me with these questions...I am so nervous cuz I am studying right now and i am gonna take it on 27th...so i really want myself to be well prepared..congrats again!!!!! and by the way, I really dont think you need to worry about your math score cuz personal opinion, dental schools wont reject a student who is having 22AA/23TS, and plus your PAT is 19...so dont worry and go relax!!

Hi UCLA, congrats on ur scores, I am just curious about this statement you made, you see, I have the blue book (2009-2010 edition) and there are no end-of-chapter questions for the chemistry / orgo section, I use this book extensivly esspecially for the RC and orgo, and there are no end of chapter questions on the orgo, which blue book you talking about ?

Hey you are gonna do fine if you put 3 hours everyday toward 27th.
1st/ Kaplan is not good for bio. I think you are so much better off using Cliff AP. And try to do questions on each chapter of AP Cliff. I got 2 questions straight from there😀😀
2nd/ Yes, i use Topscore subject test. I think topscore chem/ochem are really good practice test. I also use the Kaplan practice test (the chem/ochem section is good but bio is too easy i think)

Hey i am sorry to confused you, the kaplan book i referred to is a white kaplan book, which comes along with Kaplan online course. But you still can purchase that book separately. I also use Topscore, which i think is good too
