Second time around and I think I am finally done! My scores aren't anything crazy like a lot of the scores people post on SDN, but I am pretty satisfied (especially in comparison to my scores the first time which were pretty rough). I'm a little concerned about my PAT score...spent too much time on hole punching and had to rush through the rest of the ?s.

*Please let me know what you guys think....am I done or should I retake?!

Take 1 (Feb 2) - Take 2 (June 11,2010)
PAT 16 (36.7)____PAT 17 (42.4)😕
QR 13 (15.1)_____QR 19 (92.9)
RC 19 (53.3)_____RC 19 (67.6)
BIO 16 (33.8)____BIO 18 (72.1)
GC 19 (70.7)_____GC 21 (91.6)
OC 16 (39.9)_____OC 20 (84.4)
TS 17 (48.8)_____TS 20 (91.3)
AA 17 (45.8)_____AA 19 (85.4)

GPA: 3.65, SCI GPA: 3.55 (Graduated May 2009)

Major: International Business, Minor: Spanish
Concentrated in Pre-Dental (only took the prereqs and 1 semester of Comparative Anatomy)

The first time I clearly hadn't studied enough. I only used CDP, KBB, and Cliff's AP Bio. I ran out of time on QR and had to pick random answers for the last 12 ?s (hence the low 13)🙁 After the let down from take 1, I took a few months off and didn't look at anything DAT-related until about 6 weeks before my 2nd DAT was scheduled, then did some serious cramming.

Study Materials for Take 2

CrackDat (My hard drive crashed and I didn't realize I could get it back at a discount until a week before my 2nd DAT. I only used it for a few days but it was worth it...def recommend PAT and Math, Science was much harder than actual DAT but still good practice)
Kaplan Blue book (good for getting down the basics, but not detailed enough to use alone)
Cliff's AP Bio (definitely recommend, especially for cellular respiration, photosynthesis, plants, and ecology)
Campbell's Biology (way too detailed, but I recommend checking out the end-of-chapter summaries and self quizzes)
Examkrackers MCAT Audio Osmosis (not necessary, but it helped me drill the basics into my head. I listened to it in my car and in bed every night)
Examkrackers MCAT Gchem and Orgo (easy reads, more detailed than KBB, the end-of-chapter questions were really good practice)
Kaplan Subject Tests
ADA 2009 Sample Test

The Breakdown - studied for 6 weeks straight, 10 hours/day

QR: The calculator made it MUCH easier for me. I took 5 CDM tests and scored around 20 each time.
PAT: I barely studied for PAT, only took 3 CDP tests (I wish I had taken more). Tougher than the real DAT but if you actually use it you should be golden.
RC: Did not study at all for RC.
Bio: I studied a LOT for Bio so I was a little disappointed. Don't waste your time studying little details! I obsessed over Bio and didn't improve by much. Again, I got a few random ?s that I'd never encountered before, but I guess that's expected.
Gchem: EK really helped me. Mostly calculations. Need to know your formulas!
Orgo: Know your reagents!

The morning of the DAT I was freaking out so I watched the Hangover to help me relax. I also read over a few SDN threads for motivation🙂 Like everyone says, the key is to RELAX on the big day!

*Please let me know what you think! and feel free to PM me with any ?s 😎

was the khan academy a good source? what would you recommend from that site?

I watched a bunch of the math videos including permutations, trig, bicycle problems, etc. It really helped me to get used to the different types of questions and how to solve them.
