Hey gus, I finally got the DAT done, but I am not sure if the score could get me any chance.

GPA 3.5

dental experience 2000hr +

Because English is not my first language, so I screw on that session. Other parts I think I am fine on the others. Is 19 really a bad score? I am a dental assistant, and I have 2000+ expeience in the dental office, do you guys think this is a plus? Is the very low RC score will affect my chance of getting interview? So depressed

-Your AA of 19 is solid with your GPA. However, that RC could really hurt you. I think most schools have a cutoff and I think 13 might be below that...

You should call the schools before applying and see if they might be able to overlook that score. I can't really tell you for sure but it would really suck if you had to retake because all your other scores are solid and consistent.

The only thing is that RC is considered a very important section since it might suggest that you won't be able to handle the large amount of reading given in Dental School. So yeah give the schools a call and see whats up. Good luck 👍

Thank you so much for your advice. I have called to Oregan and USC, but both of them says they have minimum score reqirement of 15. Do you know which schools would have lower reqirement and would likely accept my scores? Thanks.

Im sorry to be the mean one, but i do not think that you have a realistic shot at any schools. That RC is very low and schools value it way too much. I would retake and hope to do much better on the RC.

What a shame caze those are good scores and you still pulled a 19. Where you applying? Lots of experience might be able to get an interview some places
