DAT done-retake?

I think AA looks ok but my RC and biology are low.
I want to get into USC and Boston University.
Do I have to retake??

Not everyone with high AA has everything high. At least 1 subject tends to be low.
I think your case is not an exception. Although some people talk about how some schools have cut off 17 point, they still make it into dental school.

I disagree, most peolpe with high AA's don't have stats that are as badly skewed as the OPs. The OP is really equivalent to someone with a balanced 20AA. No one can say how closely they look at DAT scores, but if they do, its going to hurt you. Your AA looks great on its own, but that 16 and 17 totally kills it. The 25 and 30 are badly skewed and totally saved your DAT considering one more wrong in each section and you wouldve been down to a ~22 and ~25.

Retake if you feel you can do better. Retaking would probably not benefit your AA at all, but itd definately even out your grades. If I was you though, I wouldn't. 17s can be improved to 20s with a bit of work, but itll be extremely difficult for you to hit 25 and 30 again.

A lot of schools look at RC. score call schools up.

I have to agree with the above posters, after meeting with different deans from various dental schools. The trend usually goes AA ->RC -> TS in terms of importance. Your scores are very skewed, I don't know if you should retake though. You might just have to defend your RC score if you get interviews.

RC cutoff for USC is 15 and I am not sure for BU...but I would call and double check if I were you, otherwise those are good scores. Congrats

solid scores what resources did ya use and which ones were most helpful im sure ur scores will be good enough for all the schools you want to goto.

If I was in your shoes right now, I would not even think about a re-take until I call up ALL the schools and explain to them your DAT numbers. Make a yes/no spread sheet, how many schools told you to retake how many told you to keep it.... If the retake number is higher, then retake.

But honestly, I think your fine man, I don't think theyr going to ask you to retake. RC is overrated
