DAT Done Today!

Hi, I took the DAT today. Relieved to be done. Here are my scores:

PA 19
QR 17
RC 18
Bio 19
GC 19
OC 21
TS 19
AA 19

I ended up doing a little better on PA than i thought...angle ranking and top/front/side view were both harder than anticipated, and harder than the Kaplan and Top Score practice tests.

I am 20 and going into my 3rd year of college with 75 semester hours. I have a 3.98 gpa (4.0 sci) and I am a resident assistant. How are my chances even though I will not have graduated at the end of this school year? Should I apply to more than 5 schools?

nice gpa too...i think 5 or maybe a couple more would be good. your scores/grades are pretty solid so you should be fine

Nice GPA and DAT combination.

I would say apply to around 8 schools just to be safe.

Good job! I can not wait to be done studying and take this darn exam. I have been studying for 9hrs a day for 6 days now. Man this blows, Did anybody study more than 9hrs a day? How did you study for the exam? How long?

I studied 15 hours per week from Jan to May, and 2-5 hours per day until test day.

I studied the whole month of May averaging about 6 hrs per day. I did spend a little extra time going over perceptual ability each day though. I went through the Kaplan blue book primarily... It was a good starting point but I feel I would have been better prepared using another study source, especially for Bio, Gchem and QR. The week before the test I took 1 practice exam per day through Topscore (3) and Kaplan cd-rom (1) and did nothing the day before the test, just relaxed.
