So heres the facts, I'm a female student, involved in a number of extracurriculars where I hold leadership positions and work about 10-20 hours a week. I volunteer at a dental clinic and have shadowed dentists. I also play soccer in the fall and run track in the winter and spring and am a captain for both sports. I have a 3.95 gpa and a 3.9 in science with a B+ in orgo the rest a's. I just got done with the DAT today and got:

PAT 18
Reading 25
Quantitative 15
Biology 17
Gen Chem 16
Orgranic 15
AA 18

I'm looking at Marquette as my first choice and know thats where I really want to go. I know these are average numbers, but I think this may have been the best I could have done (as orgo and math dont really come easy to me). How likely do you think I am to get in? Any help anyone can give is much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

do u mind which university u r attending right now? I mean someone like u with 3.9 GPA should get higher scores than that don't u think? I am not trying to be mean to u or anything but i think u should retake

Your status says Medical Student...explain?
You forgot to tell us your TS so I can't really say myself, I would say only problem is QR, but 15s do get into D-school.

do u really think QR is the only problem? i have to disagree... cuz his science sections are not good enough i think..

I go to a private liberal arts school in Wisconsin called Lawrence University. It is well respected for its academics and the staff at Marquette will know about it. I work hard to do well in school and agree that I should be getting better scores, but I struggle a little in math and am not sure how I could really improve my score. I have thought about this a lot and think that I did as well as I probably can. I think its more of a standardized test thing than overall intelligence. Our school had a new organic teacher this year and I don't know if I got the best preparation for the test from the class.

I'm using my boyfriend's account for this. He's in medical school. Sorry for the confusion.

I too would suggest a retake. You have a very impressive RC score but those sciences need to be raised.

Yeah, those science scores don't match your GPA at all. I think it's going to create a barrier to get into almost all schools. Your only chance would be to apply to a ton of them and not be selective about where you end up. If your hopes are on 1 specific school, you should definately retake the test. With a GPA like that you should be able to improve all of those scince scores up to 18 minimum.

good news: RC is weighted most heavily for D-schools (most of the time).

true, but infortunately the poor science scores will bring her down. Sorry but retake is a must. hopefully you can pull off that amazing RC score again👍
