top score practice tests all btw 17-20
achiever btw 15-18

Overall test wasnt too bad, bio seemed way easy and general, so did gchem, i dont know what i missed on that. O-chem was pretty seemed pretty straight forward mostly basic stuff, alot of synthesis rxns but nothing fancy. I was expecting a higher score on that. QR wasnt that bad but i made the mistake of dwelling on a couple of problems so i ended up having to hurry to finish.My advice on this is dont do that just move quickly. PAT seemed pretty easy to compared to achiever and topscore.

I studied for 2.5 months 8-12 hours a day every day. I used Kaplan BB , Topscore and Achiever.

SDN has been a big help as far as gauging when i was ready so thanks everyone.

i was on a mission as far as studying went. this was my second time taking the test which i bombed the first time, stupid kaplan course. So i wasnt about to get skunked again. Oh and by the way i work full time as an OSA, so that just goes to show if you put the time in and are dedicated the DAT can be conquered

I feel your pain on the QR. I would gladly trade 5 points off of my OCHEM for 2 on QR to get a 16 though. I got a 14!

could you tell me which book did you study for bio? b/c kaplan is very bad.

Sweet scores. Congrats.

But why all the kaplan bashing? I used kaplan as my guide -- my study shell -- and supplemented the weak spots with material from my text, schaums, barren's, websites, etc. But primarily kaplan, and I did just fine. Just curious what specifically is lacking? Sure, bio and PAT might be a bit thin, but the chems and QR are pretty complete in my opinion.
