First of all thanks to all of you that have posted their scores and given a run down of how it compared to the various practice tests, it really helped. So in order to return the favor I feel obligated to do the same. First of all the scores:
Bio 21
G. Chem 21
O. Chem 23
Total science 22
PAT 19
QR 17 ouch!!!
Reading 16 Double ouch!!!
AA 20
The rundown:
The sciences: The sciences were actually quite easy compared to the acheiver and destroyer. I was scoring 15's on the practice test in general chemistry and 18 in biology. The real test is fairly close to the level of organic chemistry that you see on the achiever. The destroyer really seems to prepare you very well in the sceinces as long as you go over each and every answer and understand why the others are wrong.
PAT- I honestly do not know how I scored so low here. It seemed a lot easier than achiever and when I was done with it I thought I had nailed it. I finished with 6 minutes left and was able to go through the ones that I was not 100% about. I was pretty disapointed with this score.
Reading- This section was impossible for me. It didn't compare to achiever, barron's or kaplan. The passage weren't hard to read but the questions were crazy, like what was the authors tone and then it would list terms that I have never heard before. But, if I was going to do horribly in a section I quess this is the one to do it in.
QR- This section also destroyed me. I was getting 18's and 19's on achiever. The calculations just seemed to take so long that I looked up with only 2 minutes to go and I still had 7 questions. So in other words this section dominated me.
All in all I am pretty happy with my scores, with the exception of reading and QR. Also thanks again to anyone who has posted in the past about their DAT experience, it really does help.
