here are my scores;

pat:20
Bio:19
chem:19
ochem:21
RC: 20
QR: 16
TS:20
AA: 19

i feel that i am good at math, and i thought i did a lot better, but there were just a lot of word problems and i had to guess on a few at the end..but even then, i felt that i still had a chance at a decent score even when i was doing topscore and achiever, i had to end up guessing because of a lot of word problems and i would still end up with 20 or 21 on those..

sciences, there were some questions that i just totally did not know, i used destroyer and although it helped, some topics were not covered...but destroyer is still a must have. i thought gchem would be more conceptual but i actually had a good number of calculations/problems to work out.

ochem; most of them were easily answered with the exception of a few tha i just had no idea on what to expect

pat; i studied off achiever, topscore, crack the dat and i felt that the destroyer was about on par with the topscore,,maybe even easier.

rc; i really hit it hard using topscore and achiever for this section, was scoring about 20-23 on those exams..so i would say it was about comparable to topscore and achiever, but the real RC section had a few more inference type questions

so what are my chances for CA schools? do schools like Loma Linda, UCLA, UoP have a minimum score required for consideration? i mean the math score is really bad and i would hate to not even be considered for those schools just because of math.

Congratulations timefordat...u finally took it... I guess we wont see your questions anymore....How do you feel about it? is what you got what you expected? how long did u study for??? Thanks for the suggestions....good luck with the rest of the process...

Also you said that you used the destroyer for the PAT??? Destroyer doesnt have a PAT section in it...

Nice job on your sciences. Did you use anything else for the science besides the destroyer or do you think it was enough to get you where you wanted to be at.

Not bad at all. Nice scores if ur GPA is good, u ready to go. Overall ur science GPA is good so u are in good shape. Congratulations again.

thanks guys,,,but i was thinking about a retake because of that horrible QR score,,i'm a CA resident and want to stay in state, do CA schools really care about the QR scores, like is there a minimum score they require for this section?

Yeah I'm applying to Loma Linda and UCSF, I was curious about their requirements, but from what I've heard private schools are easier to get into.

never heard that before. but i'm worried because CA schools are more competitive, as far as loma linda goes, i'm not sure

good job 🙂 I get stuck on the word problems also.
Ihave a question about bio, were there any questions about plants(other than classification)? b/c I have been confused about that.

Those scores are great - definitely competitive! Nice job! From what I hear 16 and 17 on the math is above average and all you need so I would worry about the QR too much. Had it been a 15 it may be a problem but I feel that in the 16 range theyll see it and move on...

There were two questions about plants on my DAT.
